Looking for a fun technique? Try stamping on embossing folders! I admit I’m not the first one to try this cool stamping trick, but it’s a wow! It’s especially fun with Stampin’ Up!’s Woodland Embossing Folder. This great folder is being retired from the product line and is on sale for $7.65. As of Tuesday, April 27, 2021, it is still available for purchase. Get it while supplies last or before May 3, whichever comes first.
In fact, be sure to check the Last-Chance Products Sale to see which products are leaving (some are on sale up to 60 percent off). We need to make room for brand-new goodies available May 4 when the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog goes live. Shop soon to get the products you want!
I used two other retiring products on this card: the Winter Woods stamp set (trees) and Butterfly Gala (sentiment). In addition, I created the background with Stampin’ Up!’s Blending Brushes and Balmy Blue ink.
Be sure to watch the video below for a look at how the great technique works! You’ll want to purchase this folder just to try this. It also works well with the deer from the current Nature’s Beauty stamp set as well as old trucks from previous sets.

You can also add any sentiment to this card and make it work. I like it for a masculine card and lends itself to a wintry scene for holiday cards, too.
Thanks for stopping by today. Please let me know how I can help you in your paper crafting journey.

Today’s cards combine new products from Stampin’ Up!’s January-June 2021 Mini Catalog with “seasoned” products from our Annual Catalog. I sometimes get caught up purchasing and playing with all of the brand-new goodies, And I forget about the stamps, papers, and tools available all the time.
Be sure to watch the video at the end of the post. A Facebook Live replay, it demonstrates the products and how I created today’s cards. I’d love you to subscribe to my YouTube channel. I add a video each week that demonstrates a different stamping technique or product.
Stitched with Whimsy Meets Daisy Lane
I created a set of cards in Balmy Blue and Daffodil Delight using:
Stitched with Whimsy Dies (JJ Mini) — I love the whimsical stitching;
Happy Thoughts stamp set (JJ Mini) — I love the variety of sentiments — perfect for creating a gift set;
Blending Brushes (JJ Mini) — these help create fun backgrounds;
Daisy Lane stamp set (Annual Catalog) — says “spring” and we’re all ready for that;
Daisy Punch (Annual Catalog) — a fun and easy coordinating product; and
the Stamparatus (Annual Catalog) — a stamp positioning tool helping you create quick and cute projects.
This post features four variations of one design. Do you like the Balmy Blue card base, the Daffodil Delight card base, or the white card base? I’d love to hear from you!
How to YouTube Video
Thanks so much for taking time to visit my blog. I hope you’ve enjoyed my cards and video. Be sure to take another look at your Annual Catalog. Dust off some of those sets and play around.
Please let me know if I can help you any way! I want to make your crafting experience fun and fulfilling!
On May 4, you’ll see a new copy of the Annual Catalog. I can’t wait to see what’s in store.

Hello, join me as I share some Boho Indigo birthday card samples.
I love this Boho Indigo Product Medley from Stampin’ Up! It features my favorites blues of Night of Navy and Misty Moonlight. All of the other elements complement this versatile collection of card-making products.
Medley Contents
The medley sells for $70 and includes the following.
11-piece photopolymer stamp set (clear stamp blocks sold separately);
48 sheets of 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper, 8 each of 6 double-sided designs;
Very Vanilla 6″ x 6″ dry embossed sheets, 2 each of 3 designs;
die cuts with gold foil accents, 2 sheets each of 3 designs;
Night of Navy 1/2″ Frayed Grosgrain Ribbon, 10 yards;
Very Vanilla/gold 1/4″ Pleated Ribbon, 10 yards;
paper flowers, 20 each in 2 sizes;
12-piece Boho Indigo Dies
The stamp sentiments (A Bunch of Birthday Love to You, Thank You, Such Happy News, and Sorry You’re Feeling Blue), Designer Series Paper, and embossed sheets lend themselves well to a huge variety of designs and uses. Add your special touches with the ribbon included.
A refill is also available for $23.
Other Samples
The kit includes two sets of paper flowers. I colored the small flower with Stampin’ Up!’s Dark Misty Moonlight Stampin’ Blend and added it to the sentiment with a Glue Dot. (Just think, you can make these flowers any color you wish with any of the variety of blends.) Card inspired by papercraftskies.
From here, my ideas spun to other sentiments. I really needed a few thinking of you cards.
With all of the scraps on the table, ideas keep popping into my head. Check out these other posts that feature the medley.
I hope you’ve enjoyed all of the samples made from this collection. Please contact me if you have questions about these cards or ordering stamping supplies for your handmade paper crafting projects. If you’re not currently working with a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, I’d love to help.
Please enjoy this Gilded Autumn Suite Card sample.
Some days, card-making inspiration flows smoothly. No sooner do I get one card designed when another idea pops into my head. I love those days when it seems creativity never ends. However, sometimes the mojo is missing. Today is one of those days. (And, let me tell you, it’s certainly not from lack of stamp sets and dies and punches and Designer Series Paper. I have plenty of that! And then some!)
I knew I wanted to use items from Stampin’ Up!’s Gilded Autumn Suite. Find it on page 45 of the August-December 2020 Mini Catalog. The Gilded Autumn Designer Series Paper (DSP) includes an array of gorgeous designs — almost too good to use! I also love that the shapes in the Autumn Punch Pack punch the leaves from several sheets of the DSP. The foil accents really make several of these sheets shine!
Gilded Autumn Suite Card Sample
This card uses a base of Very Vanilla thick card stock. I love the thick card stock for bases.
The next layer is a piece of the Mint Macaron DSP with foiled leaves.
I embossed a piece of Early Espresso card stock with the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder and attached it to one of the foil pieces included in the Brushed Metallic Package.
Stamped the sentiment with Early Espresso and placed it on top of the embossed piece.
Used a piece of the Copper Metallic ribbon across the front.
Adorned with leaves cut from the DSP and the Metallic Paper.
I know this card is just the start of all the wonderful cards to be created with the suite of products. Now I have to go clean the mess off the dining room table.

Stampin’ Up!’s Boho Indigo Product Medley
With the launch of Stampin’ Up!’s new 2020-2021 Annual Catalog, I vowed to actually use what I purchase. Novel idea, right? Who doesn’t get caught up in the excitement of all the new supplies? Sometimes I don’t get a chance to use some awesome products. Not this time! The blues of Misty Moonlight and Night of Navy spoke to me with the Boho Indigo Product Medley. I’ve been working hard (and, really, it’s not that hard) to use all of the included elements. It’s such an awesome grouping of supplies. For $70, the kit includes:
11-piece photopolymer stamp set (clear stamp blocks sold separately);
48 sheets of 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper, 8 each of 6 double-sided designs;
Very Vanilla 6″ x 6″ dry embossed sheets, 2 each of 3 designs;
die cuts with gold foil accents, 2 sheets each of 3 designs;
Night of Navy 1/2″ Frayed Grosgrain Ribbon, 10 yards;
Very Vanilla/gold 1/4″ Pleated Ribbon, 10 yards;
paper flowers, 20 each in 2 sizes;
12-piece Boho Indigo Dies
The Card and Project
The “Sorry You’re Feeling Blue” sentiment works well with this month’s well wishes theme. I created a greeting card and mini standing Kleenex holder with the medley ingredients — with a few additional items (Gold Foil Sheets, Stitched Shapes, Layering Ovals and Cirlces) thrown in.
I grabbed the Kleenex holder idea from my friend, Bev, who makes a lot of things for craft shows.
