Cottage Rose Bundle Samples

Stampin' Up! Cottage Rose Bundle Samples

Each week, I go live on my business Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/KimQuadePlaysWithPaper/) from my craft room in Mesa, Arizona, or add a video. I share what I’ve been working on in the previous week. This week, I feature three handmade greeting cards using Stampin’ Up!’s Cottage Rose Bundle. Find it on pages 56-57 of Stampin’ Up!’s Annual Catalog

I focused on this gorgeous bundle this week because I was asked to create a private card class that included a get well card, a friend card, and a birthday card suitable for a woman. This bundle fits all of those categories, and it’s just gorgeous. Especially when paired with the coordinating Abigail Rose 12 x 12 Designer Series Paper.

I needed to design these cards to be easy to make for eight stampers. But they also had to be beautiful.

Purchase this bundle for $53 and you’ll be able to select one free Level 1 SaleABration item. What is SaleABration? It is Stampin’ Up!’s most exciting sale of the year. Choose free product when you make qualifying purchases. This promotion runs through February 28, 2023, or while supplies last. Click here to see the freebies offered with a $50 order, and click here to see what’s available free with a $100 order.

Stampin' Up! Hippest Hippos Stamp Set

The hippos in the Hippest Hippos stamp set (earn free with a $50 purchase) are so cute! And, I love all the die choices in the Hippos Dies (earn free with a $50 purchase).

To create this card, I:

  • Used a Blending Brush with Pacific Point ink to add a light background to a Basic White panel.
  • Stamped the hippo in Memento Ink and colored him with a Light Smoky Slate and Light Petal Pink Stampin’ Blend.
  • Die cut the hippo with coordinating die.
  • Stamped the sentiment from Sunny Splash stamp set with Pacific Point ink.
  • Die cut the bee, life preserver, waves, boat, and snorkel with coordinating dies. (Tip: I did use adhesive sheets to make the small pieces easier to adhere.)
  • Adhere all to a Tahitian Tide card base.

See a thank you card below using the Hippest Hippos stamp set Hippos Dies.

Easy Wine Bottle Tag

Easy Wine Bottle Tag

The holiday countdown begins! Just 10 days until Christmas Day of 2020. You may still be purchasing and wrapping gifts. Or, maybe you’re finished. You might be baking, and you might be creating and sending holiday cards.

And, you might receive a last-minute invitation. Or need a last-minute quick gift. Wine, liqueurs, and sparkling water make great host or spur-of-the-moment gifts. A quick and easy wine bottle tag spruces up the gift. Stampin’ Up!’s coordinating products make this quick, fun, and festive.

Today, I share two different tags. Many of the products can be found in Stampin’ Up!’s 2020-2021 Annual Catalog or the holiday mini Be sure to watch the video for visual instructions.

Easy Wine Bottle Tag

  • Basic card stock color of your choosing: 8 inches x 3 1/4 inches, scored at 2 1/4 inches on the horizontal side.
  • A piece of coordinating Designer Series paper cut at 5 x 3 inches. I used Heartwarming Hugs for the tag on the left and Brightly Gleaming Specialty Designer Series Paper for the tag on the right.
  • 1 /2 inch circle punch to create the hole for hanging.
  • Detailed Trio punch for rounding the edges.
  • Perfectly Plaid stamp set and coordinating Pine Tree Punch (left) and Christmas Gleaming and Gleaming Ornaments Punch Pack (right).

Please note: Many of the products in the August-December 2020 Mini Catalog retire. Stampin’ Up! announced a Year-End Closeout Sale last week. Check the list which includes some products up to 50 percent off. But supplies are limited, so some availability may be limited.

Check out the video for visual instructions.

Thanks for stopping by today! I appreciate you!

Easy Handmade Sticky Notepad Holder

Are you looking for an easy-to-create teacher gift? Or stocking stuffer? This easy handmade sticky note holder fits the bill perfectly. I list directions below. Be sure to watch the video at the end of the post for visual reference.

Easy Handmade Sticky Note Holder

Start with a piece of card stock measuring 8 inches by 3 1/4 inches. Score at 2 inches, 2 1/2 inches, 5 1/2, inches, and 6 inches. Fold on the score lines. Stampin’ Up! offers 50 different colors of card stock. Imagine the possibilities! Choose a coordinating Designer Series Paper or vice versa.

Place the sticky note pad in the middle of the card stock using Stampin’ Seal+ or Tear and Tape.

Adhere the Designer Series Paper pieces measuring 3 inches by 1 3/4 inches to the front card stock flaps.

Select a stamp set sentiment to adorn the holder. For the above holder, I used the “Smile” sentiment from the Daisy Lane stamp set and the Boho Indigo Designer Series Paper.

Use self-adhesive velcro dots to create a closure for the pad.

The holder below features Stampin’ Up!’s Christmas Gleaming stamp set, the coordinating Gleaming Ornament Punch Pack, and the Brightly Gleaming Designer Series Paper. These three products retire at the end of the August-December 2020 Mini Catalog period. This means you won’t be able to purchase them from Stampin’ Up! (Just a note: At the time of this post Wednesday, December 9), the punches and Designer Series Paper are discounted during the 2020 Year-End Closeout Sale. (The Year-End Closeout is while supplies last or through January 4.)
