Hello, and welcome to the Stampers’ Dozen monthly blog hop. This month, we’re sharing handmade paper crafting projects created with bundles from Stampin’ Up!’s January-April 2023 Mini Catalog. Be sure to visit all of the stamping blogs and be inspired. This spring catalog offers so many great products, and you’ll see some of them featured throughout the hop created by talented stampers.
Today, I use the Petal Park Bundle (Petal Park stamp set and coordinating Petal Park Builder Punch) to create a fun fold thank-you card.
Petal Park Fun Fold
From the front, this card looks like a “regular” card. But it’s really a Z fold. Look below to see how it opens.
Here are a few details and measurements.
Night of Navy base measures 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″
Regency Park Designer Series Paper measures 5 1/4″ x 4″
Z fold portion measures 9 3/4″ x 4 1/4″. Score at 3 1/4″ and 6 1/2″
Basic White panels measure 4″ x 3″
Extra Regency Park Designer Series Paper measures 4″ x 3″
In addition, I used the thank you sentiment from the Beautifully Happy Stamp Set (earn this set free with a $100 purchase during Stampin’ Up!’s SaleABration promotion) and Mango Melody colored gems from the Adhesive-Backed Milky Dots.
The Petal Park stamp set features the two-step stamping technique. This means it takes two stamps to create the images. But the photopolymer design (see-through stamps) make it easy to line up the images. Be sure to watch the video below to get step-by-step instructions to see how this card comes together. Use a Stampin’ Pierce Mat to ensure you get a nice stamped image.

Each week, I go live on my business Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/KimQuadePlaysWithPaper/) from my craft room in Mesa, Arizona, or add a video. I share what I’ve been working on in the previous week. This week, I feature three handmade greeting cards using Stampin’ Up!’s Cottage Rose Bundle. Find it on pages 56-57 of Stampin’ Up!’s Annual Catalog.
I focused on this gorgeous bundle this week because I was asked to create a private card class that included a get well card, a friend card, and a birthday card suitable for a woman. This bundle fits all of those categories, and it’s just gorgeous. Especially when paired with the coordinating Abigail Rose 12 x 12 Designer Series Paper.
I needed to design these cards to be easy to make for eight stampers. But they also had to be beautiful.
Purchase this bundle for $53 and you’ll be able to select one free Level 1 SaleABration item. What is SaleABration? It is Stampin’ Up!’s most exciting sale of the year. Choose free product when you make qualifying purchases. This promotion runs through February 28, 2023, or while supplies last. Have you seen the Favored Flowers Designer Series Paper in Stampin’ Up!’s SaleABration brochure? (Click here to see an online version of the whole brochure,) The 12 x 12, double-sided paper features bold flower images perfect for card making. At first glance, the images seem to be “too much.” But I discovered that cutting the paper into smaller pieces makes for some beautiful cards. Click here to see a blog post with a variety of samples.
The Favored Flowers DSP coordinates with the Fragrant Flowers Bundle in Stampin’ Up!’s January-April 2023 Mini Catalog. Two dies cut images directly from the paper. I had a lot of fun making cards with the patterned paper, but wanted to see what I could do with the stamp set and die.
For the card above, I stamped the large flower with Calypso Coral ink on Shimmery White Card Stock and die cut with coordinating die. Layered on Basic Black and a piece of the Favored Flowers Designer Series Paper.
Be sure to check your order numbers for this bundle. Stampin’ Up! offers it in both photopolymer and cling.
Fragrant Flowers Friend Card/Black and White
Here are some details of how this card came together:
Embossed the large flower image with black embossing powder on Shimmery White Card Stock and die cut with coordinating die.
Layered on a piece of Basic Black Card Stock die cut with Stitched Rectangle Dies.
Added a piece of Perfectly Penned Designer Series Paper cut at 5 1/4 x 4 on a Basic Black Card Stock base.
Embossed the “friend” sentiment with Black Embossing Powder and cut with coordinating ide.
Added a bow created with black backer’s twine.

I hope you’ve seen Stampin’ Up!’s SaleABration brochure! (Click here to view an online copy.) It’s filled with some beautiful and fun paper crafting products. Chose from five exclusive stamps sets and four packages of 12 x 12 Designer Series Paper. Today, I feature card samples using the Favored Flowers 12 x 12 Designer Series Paper. I think you’ll love the color combination of Black, Blackberry Bliss, Calypso Coral, Evening Evergreen, Fresh Freesia, and Petal Pink.
At first sight, the paper’s bold designs might seem overwhelming, but once you start working with smaller pieces, the possibilities for gorgeous cards are endless. This patterned paper coordinates with the Fragrant Flowers Bundle on page 21 of Stampin’ Up!’s January-April 2023 Mini Catalog. The Fragrant Flowers Dies coordinate with the Designer Series Paper, allowing you to die cut some of the flowers directly from the paper. This makes it easy to create quick and cute cards.(See the card a the beginning of this post as an example.)
The card below uses the Blackberry Bliss flowers die cut from the paper.
This next sample showcases the beauty of the paper, using just a strip of the flowers and a coordinating background.
I hope you’ve enjoyed these samples. Be sure to watch the video below to watch a card-making demonstration.
