Silly Goose Card Samples

Silly Goose Card Samples

Stampin’ Up!’s January-April 2023 Mini Catalog and SaleABration promotion go live Thursday, January 5. It’s exciting to purchase brand-new paper crafting products. This 90-page catalog offers great new stamp sets, coordinating dies, punches, Designer Series Paper, ribbon, and jewels and more.

Catalogs are on the way (or already arrived) for those who have shopped with me recently. Don’t have a current demonstrator? Contact me and I’ll get paper copies of the catalogs in the mail to you.

As a demonstrator, I was able to order early and bought the Silly Goose stamp set. My friend — with the last name of Goos — celebrates her birthday this month. I created a variety of cards to give as a gift. The sayings and images are just so cute!

This week, I’ll share samples of the cards I made for her.

In addition to the Silly Goose stamp set, I used the Day at the Farm 12 x 12 Designer Series Paper for both of these cards. Earn this paper free during SaleABration with a $50 order before tax and shipping. (Just a note: the paper coordinates with the On the Farm Bundle in the January-April 2023 Mini Catalog.) But I feel these farm and country images pair well with the Silly Goose stamp set, too.

It’s easy to add just a little bit of color to the images with Stampin’ Up!’s Stampin’ Blends and Stampin’ Writer Markers. These clean and simple cards make a fun gift.

Flowing Flowers Spring Card

Flowing Flowers Spring Card

Spring calls for flowers. The Flowing Flowers stamp set found in Stampin’ Up!’s January-June 2022 Mini Catalog is perfect for a spring-themed card.  I love the flower images but also the sentiments. (However, the sentiment on this card comes from the Timeless Tulips set found in the Annual Catalog. I had to go with the spring theme!)

Flowing Flowers Stamp Set

Here are a few details about this card.

  • Color palette: Mango Melody, Melon Mambo, and Pool Party
  • Randomly stamp images on Basic White card stock in three colors
  • Emboss this piece with the Tasteful Textiles 3D Embossing Folder
  • Layer this on coordinating card stock
  • Tie a bow with the Pool Party 3/8″ Sheer Ribbon
  • Stamp one large flower in Mango Melody and fussy cut with Paper Snips
  • Lightly sponge Mango Melody ink around the flower edges
  • Use dimensionals to pop up the flower on the card front
  • Cover flower with Wink of Stella
  • With a Melon Mambo Stampin’ Write Marker, color just the words “Happy Spring” on the sentiment from the Timeless Tulips stamp set on a piece of scrap Pool Party card stock. (I just happened to have a scrap piece from the Sunshine & Rainbows Designer Series Paper out on my crafting table.)
  • Adhere to the front of the card.
  • Color three Basic Pearls with the Light Melon Mambo Stampin’ Blend and adhere to the front of the card

I hope you enjoyed today’s card. Be sure to visit all of the blogs on the hop. Leave a comment with the hashtag #stampitcontest to win a free Looking Up card kit. Congrats to last month’s winner: Judy Bennett.

Sunshine & Rainbows Birthday Card

Sunshine & Rainbows Birthday Card

I was fortunate to celebrate a birthday at the end of January. And I enjoyed receiving a ton of cards in the mail. Many of them came from my paper crafting friends. They are all so beautiful. (Watch the video below to see some of the cards I received.)

I decided to re-create one of the cards using Stampin’ Up!’s Sunshine & Rainbows Designer Series Paper. Earn it free during SaleABration for a minimum order (before tax and shpping). Offers ends February 28.

This paper screams fun and happiness and can be used in many ways.

Sunshine & Rainbows Designer Series Paper

Today, I share three different cards with the same layout using this awesome package of Designer Series Paper. Receive forty-eight sheets: 4 each of 12 double-sided designs.

Sunshine & Rainbows Birthday Card

  • Die cut three pieces of patterned paper with the the Stitched Rectangle Dies. If you don’t have these dies, just use your paper trimmer to cut the rectangles yourself.
  • Layer them on a piece of card stock measuring 4 x 2 inches.
  • Then place this piece on a 5 1/4 x 4 inch of Designer Series Paper.
  • Tie a ribbon around this before placing on your card front.
  • Add a sentiment of your choice.
  • I choose the Happy Birthday from Stampin’ Up!’s Special Moments stamp set. (Earn this free with a $100 purchase — before tax and shipping — during SaleABration — through February 28, 2022.)

It’s so easy and so fun to change the look and feel of the card with all of the different patterns.
