Welcome to Team Stamp It’s July Blog Hop! This month, we feature Christmas in July cards and projects. Be sure to visit all of the blogs on the hop to get a host of holiday inspiration. Leave a comment on each with the hashtag #stampitcontest for a chance to win a Million Thanks Card Kit.
My card today features the Trees for Sale stamp set (page 39 of Stampin’ Up! July-December 2022 Mini Catalog) and the Tree Lot Dies . (Please note: These dies have sold out and are no longer available. However, I have a set available on my BOGO sale. Click here for details.)
I have to admit, I wasn’t going to get these dies. I’m just not a fan of little pieces. But my friend and fellow demonstrator, Ginger, sold me on the dies and the stamp set. (I think it was the puppy that sealed the deal.)
Now, I’m thinking of all the ways to use all those little pieces I was complaining about.
Note: SaleABration items are available while supplies last. So if you like these, get them sooner rather than later. Click here to see the other items available during SaleABration.
Tree Lot Dies Christmas Card
I created this card for my Christmas in July in-person card class. The participants loved it!
Hint: I applied Stampin’ Up!’s adhesive sheets to the card stock before die cutting the smaller pieces for the camper. This made it easier to assemble; we didn’t have to figure out how to get glue or tape on the tiny pieces.
I also used a piece of the Gingham Cottage 12 x 12 Designer Series Paper, available in the July-December Mini Catalog. This package boasts 48 sheets, and it’s perfect for all of your fall and holiday crafting projects.
Thanks so much for visiting my blog today. I hope you enjoy this Christmas card, and I hope you’re inspired to start creating your own.
Please let me know if I can help in any way.
Remember to visit all of the blogs on the hop and leave a comment for a chance to win A Million Thanks Card Kit.
Congratulations to Kay Grover who won last month’s contest.

I love being a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator! One of the perks is being able to preorder products from new catalogs a month before the catalog goes live. My first purchase from the July-December 2022 Mini Catalog was the Sweet Candy Canes Bundle and the Sweetest Christmas 12 x 12 Designer Series Paper. Find them on pages 8 and 9 of the catalog. Click here to see a PDF of the catalog.
Sweet Candy Canes Samples
For the card above, I paired the Sweet Candy Canes stamp set and coordinating Candy Canes Dies with a SaleABration item: the Silver and Gold 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper. During SaleABraiton months, July and August, earn free, exclusive stamp sets, dies, and Designer Series Paper with minimum purchases of $50 and $100. (See something you like? Make sure to order before it’s gone. Supplies are limited.) Click here to see a PDF of the SaleABration brochure.
I heat embossed the candy canes with gold embossing powder, die cut them, and added them to a Basic White cardstock panel cut with the Deckled Rectangle Dies. Embellish with ribbon and jewels, and you have created an elegant, handmade greeting card.
The card above showcases the Sweetest Christmas Designer Series Paper. I die cut the candy canes directly from the patterned paper and layered them on different panels of the paper. It makes for another quick and easy holiday card.
Here’s another example of a quick, cute, card. Stamp the candy canes with Real Red ink, die cut, and layer on a piece of the festive Designer Series Paper. Hint: Use a Stamparatus so you can restamp the candy canes to achieve deep, red images.
Here, I paired the Sweet Candy Canes stamp set with Stampin’ Up!’s Peekaboo Treat Bags. I love these bags. See another post here. Use the bags to gift everything from candy to gift cards.

Hippest Hippos Card Sample
The hippos in the Hippest Hippos stamp set (earn free with a $50 purchase) are so cute! And, I love all the die choices in the Hippos Dies (earn free with a $50 purchase).
To create this card, I:
Used a Blending Brush with Pacific Point ink to add a light background to a Basic White panel.
Stamped the hippo in Memento Ink and colored him with a Light Smoky Slate and Light Petal Pink Stampin’ Blend.
Die cut the bee, life preserver, waves, boat, and snorkel with coordinating dies. (Tip: I did use adhesive sheets to make the small pieces easier to adhere.)
Adhere all to a Tahitian Tide card base.
See a thank you card below using the Hippest Hippos stamp set Hippos Dies.
