Gift Card Holder Video

Here’s a gift card holder video and instructions using Stampin’ Up! Boho Indigo Product Medley.

Gift Card Holder Video

I’m smitten with Stampin’ Up!’s Boho Indigo Product Medley. See this post where I show five cards I created with it. I also detail the products included in the medley. The last post centered around cards. This post shares a quick and easy gift card holder. It can also be used to gift cash! Be sure to watch the video below. It’s a replay of a Facebook Live I recorded on my Facebook business page.

How it Goes Together

Here are the details:

  • Any piece of card stock or Designer Series Paper cut to 8 1/2 inches x 3 1/2 inches. (I love that you can get three gift card holders from one 8 1/2 x 11 piece of card stock, with scraps to spare.)
  • On the long side, score the card stock at 2 1/2 inches and 6 1/2 inches.
  • Adhere Stampin’ Up!’s Tear and Tape to each side of the “bigger” section to make a pocket. Be sure to put the tape close to the edges so the gift card fits well.
  • Decorate the two front flaps with any Designer Series Paper cut to 3 1/4 inches x 1 3/4 inches and 3 1/4 inches by 2 1/4 inches.
  • Include a sentiment with your choice of greeting to suit your occasions. In my example, I used the birthday sentiment from the Boho Indigo set in conjunction with the Stitched Shapes (circle) and scallop from the Layering Circles Dies.
  • Adhere the sentiment to the front of the gift card holder. Make sure you only put adhesive on the top of the holder. (You don’t want to seal it shut!)
  • I used small, self-adhesive Velcro circles to keep the holder closed.

5 Boho Indigo Card Samples

Today, I’m showing you 5 Boho Indigo Card Samples.

5 Boho Indigo Card Samples

Look on page 9 of Stampin’ Up!’s 2020-2021 Annual Catalog. It features a gorgeous medley of products called Boho Indigo. I love Night of Navy (and now Misty Moonlight, too). The 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper calls to me. (In fact, I’ve already ordered a refill.)

BOHO INDIGO PRODUCT MEDLEY (ENGLISH)

The medley sells for $70 and includes a host of really fun elements:

  • An 11-piece photopolymer stamp set with four sentiments: Such Happy News, Thank You, A Bunch of Birthday Love to You, and Sorry You’re Feeling Blue.
  • The 12-piece Boho Indigo Dies.
  • 48 sheets of 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper (8 each of 6 double-sided designs).
  • Very Vanilla 6 x 6 dry embossed sheets (2 each of 3 designs).
  • Die cuts with gold foil accents (2 each of 3 designs).
  • Night of Navy 1/2 inch Frayed Grosgrain Ribbon (10 yards).
  • Very Vanilla/gold 1/4 inch pleated ribbon (10 yards).
  • Paper flowers (20 each in 2 sizes).

Get a refill kit (which includes the designer series paper, the dry embossed sheets, six sheets of die cuts, and 40 flowers) for $23.

You will need Night of Navy and/or Misty Moonlight ink, card stock (Night of Navy, Misty Moonlight and/or Very Vanilla or Whisper White) and your choice of adhesives to get started.

Other Samples

Once I started creating, the ideas just kept flowing. I’m sharing just 5 Boho Indigo card samples today. At first, I tried to create with what came in the medley. That can be done easily. But with a table full of scraps, I quickly added other elements to stretch this medley even further. Some of the items I pulled in include Stampin’ Up!’s Gold Foil, additional die cuts, Night of Navy ribbon from the Playing with Patterns Ribbon Combo Pack, a couple of punches, and additional sentiments.

I hope you enjoy the samples. Please let me know if you have any questions about this medley or any other paper crafting products. I’m happy to help. Click on any of the graphics below to shop from my online store 24/7.

Take a look at another Tree Angle Holiday Card sample.

Tree Angle Holiday Card Sample

Thanks for popping in today! It’s official! Stampin’ Up!’s August-December 2020 Mini Catalog is now live. You can order from an awesome selection of paper crafting goodies for Halloween, fall, Thanksgiving, Christmas, winter, and even Valentine’s Day.

I love so many things from this catalog. Look for a few samples at a time in the coming months.

I bought the Tree Angle stamp set and the coordinating Stitched Triangles Die first.

Tree Angle Holiday Card Sample

This set definitely fits my style: clean and simple. It’s easy to use and offers a lot of variety.

This cheery holiday card also uses:

  • Heartwarming Hugs Designer Series Paper
  • Shimmery White Card Stock or Whisper White Card Sstock
  • Curved die from In the Woods Dies
  • Rhinestones colored with Real Red Stampin’ Blends

(I always like to include a free card sample with the catalog. This card, inspired by the sample in the catalog, found its way into a lot of catalog packets. Don’t you just love the Red Foil? )

Little Treat Box Dies

A fun project featuring Stampin’ Up!’s brand-new Little Treat Box Dies.

Little Treat Box Dies

It’s an exciting day! Stampin’ Up!’s August-December 2020 Mini Catalog is live! That means you can order from an awesome collection of paper crafting products. Look for new and exclusive items for Halloween, fall, Thanksgiving Christmas, winter, and more. From kits to suites and bundles and papers, this mini catalog (formerly the Holiday Catalog) offers a host of fun products.

Need a catalog? Send me an email or leave a comment on this post. I’ll get one in the mail to you!

Little Treat Box Dies

As a demonstrator, I had the opportunity to order early. What a hard decision! (Just get it all, right?) But, I’m always drawn to treat packets. They are fun to make and fun to give. Especially when you can add chocolate.

The treat pictured here is made with the Little Treat Box Dies. I selected this as one of my first purchases because:

  • It uses just one 6 x 6 piece of card stock.
  • The scores and cuts make it easy to assemble the box.
  • No adhesive is necessary. Just put it together.
  • The coordinating stamp set — Little Treats — contains images for Halloween, Christmas, weddings, general birthdays, and more. Very versatile and worth the investment.
  • It’s super cute!

I decorated the box with pieces of the Playing with Patterns Designer Series Paper (found in the 2020-2021 Annual Catalog), vellum, and ribbon.

Here are what the dies look like.

Here’s the stamp set. Buy the bundle for $53 and you save 10 percent.

Here’s another creation with a different color scheme and a different folding technique.

Earlier today, I did a Facebook Live showing how I this box goes together. I converted it to a YouTube video. Give it a watch.

August 2020 #simplestamping Challenge

Here’s a cute card for Stampin’ Up!’s August 2020 #simplestamping challenge.

August 2020 #simplestamping challenge

Each month, Stampin’ Up! issues a new #simplestamping challenge. This month’s challenge: create a card using just rubber stamps, ink, paper, and Designer Series Paper with a whimsical or spooky theme. I chose the whimsical theme.

August 2020 #simplestamping Challenge

The card features the Cute Fruit stamp set. Find it in Stampin’ Up!’s 2020-2021 Beginner Brochure.

This brochure contains stamp sets and a plethora of project ideas for those new to the rubber stamping experience. It shows you don’t need to have a huge collection of products to start learning to make handmade greeting cards with rubber stamps. Sometimes, simpler is better. I tend to be a clean and simple stamper anyway.

These images call to me. They are fun and easy to use. However, I think any crafter will find it fun to create cards and projects with this cute offering.

Stampin' Up! Cute Fruit Stamp Set

In addition to the Cute Fruit stamp set pictured above, I used the 2020-2022 In Color 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper Stack. This stack contains 40 6 x 6 sheets of all-occasion designs, two double-sided designs in five In Colors. The colors include: Bumble Bee, Cinnamon Cinder, Just Jade, Magenta Madness, and Misty Moonlight. As you can see, I used different strips of the Bumble Bee and Just Jade pieces as well as the coordinating In Color ink colors.

This card is super easy to create and just as much fun to send. The “smile” sentiment lends itself to just about everything.
