Guilded Autumn Suite Card Sample

Some days, card-making inspiration flows smoothly. No sooner do I get one card designed when another idea pops into my head. I love those days when it seems creativity never ends. However, sometimes the mojo is missing. Today is one of those days. (And, let me tell you, it’s certainly not from lack of stamp sets and dies and punches and Designer Series Paper. I have plenty of that! And then some!)

I knew I wanted to use items from Stampin’ Up!’s Gilded Autumn Suite. Find it on page 45 of the August-December 2020 Mini Catalog. The Gilded Autumn Designer Series Paper (DSP) includes an array of gorgeous designs — almost too good to use! I also love that the shapes in the Autumn Punch Pack punch the leaves from several sheets of the DSP. The foil accents really make several of these sheets shine!

  • This card uses a base of Very Vanilla thick card stock. I love the thick card stock for bases.
  • The next layer is a piece of the Mint Macaron DSP with foiled leaves.
  • I embossed a piece of Early Espresso card stock with the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder and attached it to one of the foil pieces included in the Brushed Metallic Package.
  • Stamped the sentiment with Early Espresso and placed it on top of the embossed piece.
  • Used a piece of the Copper Metallic ribbon across the front.
  • Adorned with leaves cut from the DSP and the Metallic Paper.

I know this card is just the start of all the wonderful cards to be created with the suite of products. Now I have to go clean the mess off the dining room table.

Thanks for stopping by today! I’d love to be your Stampin’ Up! demonstrator if you aren’t already working with one. Leave a comment below or send me an email at [email protected]

Happy stamping!

Stampin’ Up!’s Boho Indigo Product Medley

Stampin' Up! Boho Indigo Product Medley

With the launch of Stampin’ Up!’s new 2020-2021 Annual Catalog, I vowed to actually use what I purchase. Novel idea, right? Who doesn’t get caught up in the excitement of all the new supplies? Sometimes I don’t get a chance to use some awesome products. Not this time! The blues of Misty Moonlight and Night of Navy spoke to me with the Boho Indigo Product Medley. I’ve been working hard (and, really, it’s not that hard) to use all of the included elements. It’s such an awesome grouping of supplies. For $70, the kit includes:

  • 11-piece photopolymer stamp set (clear stamp blocks sold separately);
  • 48 sheets of 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper, 8 each of 6 double-sided designs;
  • Very Vanilla 6″ x 6″ dry embossed sheets, 2 each of 3 designs;
  • die cuts with gold foil accents, 2 sheets each of 3 designs;
  • Night of Navy 1/2″ Frayed Grosgrain Ribbon, 10 yards;
  • Very Vanilla/gold 1/4″ Pleated Ribbon, 10 yards;
  • paper flowers, 20 each in 2 sizes;
  • 12-piece Boho Indigo Dies

The Card and Project

The “Sorry You’re Feeling Blue” sentiment works well with this month’s well wishes theme. I created a greeting card and mini standing Kleenex holder with the medley ingredients — with a few additional items (Gold Foil Sheets, Stitched Shapes, Layering Ovals and Cirlces) thrown in.

I grabbed the Kleenex holder idea from my friend, Bev, who makes a lot of things for craft shows.

Boho Indigo Fun Fold

Ready for a Boho Indigo fun fold card? See the information and video below.

Boho Indigo Fun Fold

The blues of Misty Moonlight and Night of Navy attracted me to Stampin’ Up!’s Boho Indigo Product Medley. Find it on page 9 of Stampin’ Up!’s 2020-2021 Annual Catalog.

The medley offers a set of coordinating products. Use them as you like to create something unique to you. Add your own style or flair. Or look for inspiration from others. A refill is also available for $23.

Boho Indigo Fun Fold

Medley Contents

  • 11-piece photopolymer stamp set (clear stamp blocks sold separately);
  • 48 sheets of 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper, 8 each of 6 double-sided designs;
  • Very Vanilla 6″ x 6″ dry embossed sheets, 2 each of 3 designs;
  • die cuts with gold foil accents, 2 sheets each of 3 designs;
  • Night of Navy 1/2″ Frayed Grosgrain Ribbon, 10 yards;
  • Very Vanilla/gold 1/4″ Pleated Ribbon, 10 yards;
  • paper flowers, 20 each in 2 sizes;
  • 12-piece Boho Indigo Dies

The stamp sentiments (A Bunch of Birthday Love to You, Thank You, Such Happy News, and Sorry You’re Feeling Blue), Designer Series Paper, and embossed sheets lend themselves well to a huge variety of designs and uses. Add your special touches with the ribbon included. Think about purchasing some Gold Foil Sheets to add fun accents to this medley. See this past post for other great card samples.

Cutting Directions

  • Misty Moonlight: one piece cut at 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ (for the base) and another piece cut at 8 1/2″ x 3 1/4″ scored at 4 1/4″ (this is the front flap). Also need a scrap to die cut a scallop circle for layering the sentiment.
  • Very Vanilla pre-embossed sheet included in the kit: one piece of your favorite design cut at 5 1/4″ x 4″
  • Very Vanilla card stock: 3 x 4 (for the inside) and a scrap for the sentiment (a circle cut from the Stitched Shapes)
  • Designer Series Paper of your choice from the medley: 3 x 4

One Stamp Set, One Sketch, Three Different Cards

Today, I’m sharing three very different cards with two things in common: Stampin’ Up!’s Banner Year stamp set and a cool (fun fold) card sketch. The stamp set is found in Stampin’ Up!’s August-December 2020 Mini Catalog on page 65.

I chose this stamp set because of its versatility. It includes sentiments for everything from Halloween, to fall, to Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Valentine’s Day.

Purchase it as a bundle with the Banners Pick a Punch and save 10 percent. I also used the Magic in This Night Designer Series Paper as a feature point.

Cutting & Scoring:

  • Cajun Craze – 11” x 4 1/4” – score at 5 ½”, and 2 ¼” x 2 ¼” scrap
  • Basic Black – 4 ¼” x 1 ¼”
  • Magic in This Night Designer Series Paper – 3 ½” x 5 ½” and 4 ¼” x 1”

  • 3/8” Glittered Organdy Ribbon – one piece 5” and one piece 3”

Instructions:

  • Fold the Cajun Craze card stock in half.
  • Using adhesive of choice, adhere the 3 ½” x 5 ½” inch piece of Magic in This Night DSP to the Cajun Craze base.
  • Attach the 4 ¼” x 1” piece of DSP to the 4 ¼” x 1 ¼” Basic Black piece.
  • Place a Glue Dot on each end of the 5” inch piece of Glittered Organdy Ribbon. Stretch the ribbon across the front of the DSP/black piece, sticking the Glue Dots to the back of it.
  • With adhesive, adhere this entire piece to the card front, about halfway down.
  • Create a “faux” box with the 3” Glittered Organdy Ribbon. (Slip the piece underneath the ribbon already attached to the card stock. Tie a knot.)
  • Die cut the white scrap with a circle from the Stitched Shapes and the Cajun Craze with a scallop circle.
  • Stamp the spider web image with Cajun Craze ink onto the white circle three times, stamping off once for each web. Use Memento Black ink to stamp the “Happy Haunting” sentiment in the middle of the white circle and on top of the webs.
  • Place the white circle on top of the Cajun Craze scallop with Glue Dots. With Dimensionals, pop this circle up on top of the ribbon on the left-hand side of the card.
  • Stamp the word “Boo” in Black Memento on the 5 ¼” x 4” Whisper White. Attach to the inside of the card.

See the list of products I used to create this card  below. Click on any of the graphics to go directly to my online to purchase.

Please let me know if you have questions. I’d love to help.
