Twinkling Lights Dies Glimmer

Twinkling Lights Dies Glimmer

Does it shimmer, glimmer, or shine? If the answer is yes, I add it to my cart!

Yes, I’m a huge fan of sparkly, shiny paper for card making. So, of course, I ordered Stampin’ Up!’s Glimmer 12 x 12 Specialty Paper from the July-December 2022 Mini Catalog and played with it last week.

I think it pairs well with the Twinkling Lights Dies and the Lights Aglow 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper.

Twinkling Lights Dies Inside

The above photo shows the inside of the card.

In today’s post, I share cards that feature:

  • Twinkling Lights Dies
  • Glimmer 12 x 12 Specialty Paper
  • Gold Foil
  • Lights Aglow 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper
  • Sentiment from Sweet Candy Canes stamp set
  • Snowflakes from Christmas Lights stamp set

Don’t you just love the green glimmer paper used on the card above? I used that for the tree and vanilla for the snow.

Twinkling Lights Dies Gold Foil

Stampin’ Up!’s Gold Foil also works well with the die cut Christmas tree from the Twinkling Lights Dies.

Thanks so much for visiting my blog today! I hope you’re inspired to begin creating your own handmade holiday cards.

Be sure to visit all of the talented stampers participating in the hop. Leave a comment with the hashtag #stampitcontest. You could win a Looking Up card kit.

Christmas in July Evergreen Elegance

This card features a bit of a different design. See the photo below for a side view of how it opens.

Christmas in July Evergreen Elegance

Here are a few details:

  • base (Evening Evergreen) measures 7 1/2 inches x 5 1/2 inches. Score at 3 1/4 inches on the left side.
  • Soft Succulent piece, embossed with the Wintry 3D embossing folder, measures 5 1/4 x 3 inches.
  • the Designer Series Paper piece from Tidings of Christmas measures 1 1/4 inches by 5 1/4 inches. Glue to a Basic White piece measuring 5 1/4 x 4 that goes on the inside of the card.
  • sentiment from Christmas to Remember stamp set (a brand-new set coming soon in the July-December 2021 Mini Catalog).

This layout works well for any theme of card, stamp sets, and Designer Series Paper. Here’s a video that shows how this card — with different stamps and paper — goes together.
