Blending Brush Card Sample

Blending Brush Card Sample

Today’s card features two of my favorite products from Stampin’ Up!’s January-June 2021 Mini Catalog. The Friendly Flamingo Bundle and the Blending Brushes.

I created a fun background with the Blending Brushes found on page 62. You receive three brushes for $12. I’ve included a free tutorial below and a video showing how I used the brushes to create several backgrounds.

Friendly Flamingo Card Samples

Flirty Flamingo Card Samples

I have a confession! I’m a flamingo fanatic! Yes, these beautiful creatures speak to me. Well, not literally. But I love them. Of course, I’m excited about Stampin’ Up!’s new bundle, Friendly Flamingo. It’s available beginning today in the January-June 2021 Mini Catalog.

Today, I’m sharing cards samples and a video featuring this stamp set and its coordinating dies.

Friendly Flamingo Card Samples

Usually, I’m a Pinterest girl. When I get a new stamp set, I go to Pinterest and see what cute things everyone else has made with the set. Then, I find a sample that inspires, and I get to work.

However, this time I just started created. I let the process work itself. One idea led to another, and soon I had a handful of cards ready to send. I’ve just scratched the surface with the cards I’m showing you today. In the next few months, look for additional techniques and cards featuring the fun bundle.

Enjoy these samples. I used Stampin’ Up!’s colors of Flirty Flamingo, Melon Mambo, and Magenta Madness. Look for a shopping list at the end of this post. Please contact me if you have any questions about products or techniques.

Flowering Cactus Card Samples

When we moved to Arizona from Nebraska more than fifteen months ago, we wanted to include cactus in our backyard. The landscaper refused. He said it was cliche, and he encouraged us to plant lantanas instead. (I really think he didn’t want to deal with the prickles!)

A month or so later, my husband discovers a teeny, tiny cactus growing in the front yard. After nearly being destroyed by the same landscapers, my hubby dug it up and planted it in this pot. He’s dutifully watered and tended it. Not that a cactus needs much water. But what do we know?

We have no idea what kind of cactus this may be. We can’t wait until it grows a little bigger.

In the meantime, I’m excited Stampin’ Up! is offering the Flowering Cactus Product Medley ($70) in its upcoming January-June 2021 Mini Catalog. This catalog goes live at 3 a.m. Mountain Time January 5. (I’m working to get catalogs in the mail and/or delivered. If you’re not currently working with a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, please contact me. I’ll send catalogs to you).

Come back to my blog January 5 for a link to the catalog PDF.
