Sharing a card sample using Stampin’ Up!’s retiring Tropical Chic stamp set and coordinating Tropical Dies.

I love everything tropical! I love palm trees, the beach, the sun, the sand, and flamingos. Did I say palm trees? So, of course, Stampin’ Up!’s Tropical Chic stamp set and coordinating Tropical Dies have a place in my collection. (The Tropical Dies are on sale for $18.90.)
If you like the set and the dies, hurry to the online store and grab them! They retiring from Stampin’ Up!’s line up and won’t be available for purchase after June 2 (or while supplies last).

My Inspiration
While paging through a recent clothing catalog, I spotted a vibrant matching shirt and pant set. It immediately reminded me of the Tropical Chic stamps. Here’s a look at my inspiration. What do you think? Did I made it work?

The Tropical Chic Card Sample
I used the retiring 2018-2020 In Colors of Blueberry Bushel, Lovely Lipstick, Call Me Clover, Pineapple Punch, and Grapefruit Grove. As a reminder, these colors won’t be available after June 2. The ink pads, ink refills, card stock, Designer Series Paper, and ribbon are all on Stampin’ Up!’s Last-Chance list. A few items have sold out, but much is still available. Click here to shop the Last-Chance products.
In addition, I tried a modified version of the eclipse technique. Do you see the red palm frond on the right-hand side of the card and the blue frond on the left? After stamping, I used the Tropical Dies to die cut the image and popped the white card front up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
2020-2021 Annual Catalog
Beginning June 3, we can shop from Stampin’ Up!’s new 2020-2021 Annual Catalog. As a demonstrator, I received a sneak peek and also got a chance to pre-order a selection of products. I’m excited because the new catalog is filled with some awesome new things.
If you’ve purchased from me in the last six to nine months, I’ve sent a new catalog to you through Stampin’ Up! Watch for it in your mailbox in a couple of weeks. If you aren’t currently working with a demonstrator, I’d love to get you a new catalog. Shoot me a message.
Thanks for stopping by today. I’ve included a list below of all the products is used to create this card.

I’m sharing a card using an embossing technique with Stampin’ Up!’s Country Floral 3D Embossing Folder.

I tried a super fun embossing technique that uses Stampin’ Up!’s Country Floral 3D Embossing Folder and Window Sheets. The Window Sheets, available in 12 x 12 sheets, serve as the card base! I cut the sheets into a size measuring 4 1/2 inches by 11 inches and scored it at 5 1/2 inches. Use a Bone Folder to get a good crease at the fold. I slipped the card front into the embossing folder and ran it through my die cutting machine. This texture and design offers a unique, see-through look.
Last-Chance Products
The Country Floral 3D Embossing Folder used in today’s technique project is retiring from Stampin’ Up!’s offerings. Though it’s sad to see some products go, I look forward to a brand-new catalog being released to all customers June 3. (Note: Catalogs are one their way to current customers who shopped with me in the last six to nine months. If you don’t currently work with a demonstrator, I’d love to help you get started stamping.)
Click this link and shop the entire list of retiring products. This list includes the 2018-2020 In Color card stock, ink pads, ink refills, and markers; stamp sets; punches; die cuts and framelits, Designer Series Paper, ribbon; and more. Many of the products are discounted. Also, remember to check the Clearance Rack.

The Bloom & Grow stamp set and its coordinating framelits, Budding Blooms, are available now and in the upcoming catalog. Purchase them now as a bundle (before June 2) and you receive a 10 percent discount. They won’t be discounted when the new catalog goes live. I’m sharing a clean and simple card using Stampin’ Up!’s Positive Thoughts stamp set.

I find myself reaching for this stamp set more and more in the last couple of weeks. The sentiments are perfect for these times we face as a world.

It’s available in Stampin’ Up!’s January-June 2020 Mini Catalog on page 23. Good news: It’s also available in Stampin’ Up!’s new, upcoming Annual Catalog (available to customers June 3). The coordinating die cuts, Nature’s Thoughts, will be available for purchase with the release of the new catalog.
For now, I relied on #simplestamping to create this clean and simple card Positive Thoughts rubber stamped greeting card. I can make a large number of cards in a short time and get the in the mail.
Card Highlights
- Using the largest circle from the Layering Circles Dies, die cut a hole in a 5 1/4 x 4 piece of card stock. The thick card stock holds up best.
- Place the stencil on top of a white layer (also measuring 5 1/4 x 4).
- Sponge color into the circle. This card uses Balmy Blue, Pool Part, and Pacific Point. I started with Balmy Blue at the bottom, using circular motions to blend the ink. Pool part was next, followed by Pacific Point.
- Ink the flower image with the Pacific Point Classic Stampin’ Pad. Stamp the image once in the center of the circle of sponged ink. Without reinking, stamp again to the left and right of the first flower.
- Stamp sentiment with Pacific Point ink pad.
- Color the Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding with Balmy Blue Stampin’ Blends.
- Wrap the ribbon around the card and adhere in back with Mini Glue Dots. Tie a knot with another small ribbon piece.
- Adhere the card front to the Pacific Point base.
Think about all of the color combinations that could be used — lots and lots of options for a clean and simple, but beautiful card.
Thanks for stopping by today. I’d love to help you with any of your stamping-related questions.
