It’s time for the Maui Achievers Blog Hop, and I’m sharing a congratulations card for a graduate.
Welcome to our monthly Maui Achievers Blog Hop. We’re a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world who have achieved the Stampin’ Up! bonus of the Maui trip. We celebrate this achievement by organizing a monthly hop which helps us to continue to inspire you creatively.
You may be starting here or have come from someone else’s blog – either way there’s a list at the end of this post to help you move around all the different blogs and get many amazing ideas. We all have our country listed – so if you’re looking for a demonstrator these are top demonstrators in their country and would love to help you with your Stampin’ Up! shopping or if you’d like to join our Stampin’ Up! teams.
Even though many schools have cancelled or postponed graduations, it’s still important to recognize the seniors. I’m sharing a graduation card featuring Stampin’ Up!’s Darling Label Punch Box. It’s an awesome “kit” that includes a six-piece, photopolymer stamp set with a great variety of sentiments, a clear stamp block, a punch, and two Stampin’ Spots. And, the best part: it’s packaged in a beautiful gold and Night of Navy tin, perfect for storing stamping supplies or for gifting.
Today’s Congratulations Card for Graduates
This graduation card uses one stamp from the set – one perfect for celebrating graduates. I heat embossed it with silver and layered it on Silver Foil (die cut with the Stitched Shapes Die) and a Pearlized Doily. The background papers come from the 6 x 6 Neutrals Designer Series Paper pack.
One hint: I didn’t have any black ribbon so I colored the Silver Metallic-Edge Ribbon with the Black Stampin’ Blend. You can use this trick with any of the blends and Stampin’ Up!’s Silver or Gold Metallic-Edge Ribbon.

Welcome to the April Stampin’ Friends Blog Hop where I’m featuring a card for dog moms.
Thanks for joining us on this hop. Be sure to visit all of the blogs and leave a comment. Follow along using the links at the bottom of this post. It’s a great lineup of cards and projects.
We’re celebrating moms for Mother’s Day. I know there are a lot of dog moms out there, so I decided to have a little fun with Stampin’ Up! products. I’ve created a card for moms of our furry friends!
Best Dressed 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper (#151319 – $11.50)
Dressed to Impress stamp set (#151666 – $18)
Stitched Shapes Dies (#145372 – $30)
Layering Ovals Dies (#141706 – $35)
Little flowers from the Detailed Deer Framelits (#147915 – $34)
I love Stampin’ Up!’s color coordination. The Best Dressed Designer Series Paper uses a host of complementary colors, and I chose Petal Pink and Mint Macaron for a more feminine look.
And, we need a treat bag to accompany the card.
Treat Bag
I followed the same color scheme and used the same basic products as the card to create a fun, little bag filled with dog treats. The 3 x 9 Printed Gusseted Cellophane Bags (25 bags for $7 – #151312) provide a perfect receptacle for treats like this and the Scallop Tag Topper Punch makes it quick and easy to create a tag.
Thanks for stopping by today. Be sure to visit all of the blogs on the hop. Here are the links:
Here is an all-inclusive list of what I used to create the card and tag. Click on any of the graphics to be taken directly to my online store where you can shop 24/7. Remember to check the Clearance Rack. It was recently updated with new items!
Call attention to Stampin’ Up!’s retiring In Colors: Call Me Clover, Lovely Lipstick, Pineapple Punch. Grapefruit Grove, and Blueberry Bushel
Use Stampin’ Up!’s Stampartus
Create with my newest stamp set: Positive Thoughts.
Retiring In Colors: Call Me Clover, Lovely Lipstick, Pineapple Punch. Grapefruit Grove, and Blueberry Bushel
We’ve been able to work with these colors for almost two years. I’m always sad to see the In Colors retire, but I look forward to the new ones. Stampin’ Up! announces its list of retiring products soon, and we know it includes these colors and all of the associated products.
If you love these colors, be sure to stock up now on the ink pads, ink refills, card stock, Stampin’ Write Markers, Stampin’ Blends, ribbon, embellishments, and 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper stack. These offerings are available while supplies last and are often some of the first to sell when the retirement list comes out.
Stamparatus
Stampin’ Up!’s stamp positioning tool, the Stamparatus, allows you to do some fun techniques (in additional to being able to stamp straight!). The unique hinge system facilitates this fun stamping of the butterflies. I call it Hinge-Step Stamping. Position the first stamp on the paper, ink the image, and stamp the paper. Then, remove the plate and move it down one slot. (Look for a video later this week demonstrating this technique.) Keep stamping until you have the desired design. Be sure to clean the stamp if you’re using several colors.
Positive Thoughts
The Positive Thoughts stamp set works perfectly for the times we are experiencing. Each day, I focus on sending cards to offer happy mail and let people know someone is thinking of them. The sentiments and images in this set are perfect for that. I’m just starting to play with the images.
Thanks for stopping by today! I’d love to answer questions or help you with any of your crafting needs. Click on any of the graphics below to be taken directly to my online store where you can shop 24/7.
I’m sharing a new how-to video showing the masking technique with Stampin’ Up!’s Timeless Tulips stamp set.
I hope you enjoy this quick video I recorded demonstrating how to use a Post It Note and rubber stamps, ink, and paper to create lifelike images for your card making. This technique works with a variety of stamps and images. Be creative and see what you can do.
Here’s the tulip card I demonstrated. See this blog post for details.
Here is another card I created using one of Stampin’ Up!’s 2020 Sale-A-Bration stamp sets, The Gang’s All Meer. It shows how I used a mask with the cactus to give them a real-life appearance.
Thanks for taking the time to watch the video. Please let me know if you have questions about this or other techniques!
On Another Note
Stampin’ Up!’s Annual Catalog is nearing the end of its run. The sales period ends June 2. A retiring list publishes April 22. We do know the 2018-2020 In Colors retire. They include: Lovely Lipstick, Grapefruit Grove, Pineapple Punch, Call Me Clover, and Blueberry Bushel. So, if you love these colors and need ink pads, ink refills, card stock, ribbon, Stampin’ Write Markers, Stampin’ Blends, or Designer Series Paper containing these colors, get them now. They’ll go fast once they are officially announced on the list.
