Abstract Beauty Treat Packets

Abstract Beauty Treat Packets

I love treat packets! It’s so much fun creating them, filling them with goodies, and giving them out! I’m always on the lookout for a new and different design. I came upon this one while browsing Pinterest and changed the Designer Series Paper to fit my theme. (Be sure to watch the video at the end of this post to see how I made this.)

Easy to cut and put together, I made them for a recent game/stamping night at my home as a welcome gift. I use Stampin’ Up!’s Abstract Beauty 4 x 6 Specialty Designer Series Paper. Find this gorgeous paper on page 59 of Stampin’ Up!’s January-June 2022 Mini Catalog.

Notice the new, unique size presented at 4 x 6. I also love the gold accents found on many of the sheets.

These go together quickly and easily.

  • Cut the patterned paper at 4 inches x 5 inches
  • Score at 1 1/4 inches, 2 1/2 inches, and 3 3/4 inches on the five-inch side
  • Fold on the score lines
  • Place a Glue Dot on the bottom of four Hershey Nuggets
  • Place the nuggets on one end paper
  • Fold into a triangle shape
  • Adhere the bottom
  • Cut a belly band with coordinating paper at 5 x 2 inches. Score at 2 1/2 inches
  • Place around the treat packet and adhere on the bottom
  • Add a sentiment. I used the “I Like You” sentiment from the Flowing Flowers stamp set.
  • Embellish

Here’s another example of a treat packet I made with Stampin’ Up!’s Hey Sports Fan 12 x 12 Designer Series Paper.

Cactus Cuties Card Samples

Being a desert dweller, I’m fascinated by cactus. I add all of Stampin’ Up!’s cactus offerings in my collection. That includes the Cactus Cuties Bundle found on page 66 of Stampin’ Up!’s January-June 2022 Mini Catalog.

The bundle includes the Cactus Cuties photopolymer stamp set and Cactus Builder Punch. Purchase them as a bundle and save 10 percent.

This card uses patterned paper from the 6 x 6 2 In Color 2021-2023 Designer Series Paper Assortments. These are also available in 2020-2022 In Color Assortments as well as Brights, Regals, Subtles, and Neutrals. I selected Polished Pink, Evening Evergreen, and Soft Succulent.

Stampin’ Up!’s large color palette makes it easy to stamp the cactus in a variety of colors. It offers a lot of green hues: Granny Apple Green, Mossy Meadow, Old Olive, Garden Green, Shaded Spruce, Soft Sea Foam, Pear Pizzazz, Mint Macaron, and Just Jade. Imagine all of the possibilities!

The clean and simple card above uses a strip of Designer Series Paper from SaleABration’s Sunshine & Rainbows. (You might have a package of this laying around.)

Cactus Cuties Cajun Craze

I chose the color combination of Crushed Curry and Cajun Craze for the card above and used Stampin’ Up!’s note cards. Precut and scored, you receive 20 cards and envelopes for $20. Very easy to use to create a lot of cards in a hurry.

Sunshine & Rainbows Birthday Card

Sunshine & Rainbows Birthday Card

I was fortunate to celebrate a birthday at the end of January. And I enjoyed receiving a ton of cards in the mail. Many of them came from my paper crafting friends. They are all so beautiful. (Watch the video below to see some of the cards I received.)

I decided to re-create one of the cards using Stampin’ Up!’s Sunshine & Rainbows Designer Series Paper. Earn it free during SaleABration for a minimum order (before tax and shpping). Offers ends February 28.

This paper screams fun and happiness and can be used in many ways.

Sunshine & Rainbows Designer Series Paper

Today, I share three different cards with the same layout using this awesome package of Designer Series Paper. Receive forty-eight sheets: 4 each of 12 double-sided designs.

  • Die cut three pieces of patterned paper with the the Stitched Rectangle Dies. If you don’t have these dies, just use your paper trimmer to cut the rectangles yourself.
  • Layer them on a piece of card stock measuring 4 x 2 inches.
  • Then place this piece on a 5 1/4 x 4 inch of Designer Series Paper.
  • Tie a ribbon around this before placing on your card front.
  • Add a sentiment of your choice.
  • I choose the Happy Birthday from Stampin’ Up!’s Special Moments stamp set. (Earn this free with a $100 purchase — before tax and shipping — during SaleABration — through February 28, 2022.)

It’s so easy and so fun to change the look and feel of the card with all of the different patterns.

Friendly Hello Pocket Card

Friendly Hello Pocket Card

Just two weeks left of Stampin’ Up!’s SaleABration promotion. Receive your choice of free, exclusive stamp sets and patterned paper packages with minimum purchases of $50 and $100 (before tax and shipping). Click here to see a PDF copy of the SaleABration brochure.

The card featured above uses the Friendly Hello stamp set and Friendly Hello 12 x 12 Designer Series Paper. Get this combo free with a $100 order (before tax and shipping). What a card combination.

I used the components to create a pocket card. Here are some basic directions for creating the pocket card. (Be sure to watch the video below for step-by-step instructions). Read below to see a few more samples of this fun card design.

Friendly Hello Pocket Card

  • Form the base with a piece of Pool Party card stock that measures 11 x 4 1/4 inches. Score at 1 1/4 inches and 5 1/2 inches.
  • Round the edges with the Detailed Trio Punch.
  • Fold the card in half, and then fold the small piece down toward you.
  • Adhere a piece of the patterned paper measuring 4 x 3 inches to the bottom. Glue another design measuring 1 4 x 4 inches on the small flap.
  • With Tear and Tape, as close to each edge as possible. form the pocket. Tape the small flap down.
  • Decorate with any stamp sets, dies, and inks you like. For this card, I stamped the Hello Friend sentiment in Memento Ink and die cut with a shape from the Tasteful Labels Dies. Add embellishments such as ribbons and jewels.
  • Card insert: Colored, coordinating card stock border piece measures 5 x 3 inches and the Basic White measures 3 3/4 x 2 3/4 inches.

Catching Butterflies Pocket Card
