Christmas Everywhere Kit Alternatives

Christmas Everywhere Kit Alternatives

If you’re looking for a way to make some quick and easy Christmas cards, Stampin’ Up!’s Christmas Everywhere Kit can help! This all-inclusive kit contains all of the supplies you need to create nine holiday cards — three each of three designs. The kit includes a stamp set, mini ink pad, a stamping block, decorated card bases and envelopes, die cut pieces, and Stampin’ Dimensionals. Make the kit as directed. Or create your own alternatives. This kit costs just $21 + tax and shipping.

Find the kits online as part of Stampin’ Up!’s Kit Collection. Click here to view all of the available kits.

I made one of each design (mostly) as directed by the kit. See the picture below.

Then, I started creating alternates with pieces from the kit and a few supplies from my stash. I cut up some of the card bases to use as Designer Series Paper. You can also cut the cut the kit card bases in half and mount them on card stock to double the kit output.

Here are some quick measurements for the pieces below (and the card at the top). Basic White measuring 5 1/4 x 2, 4 1/4 x 2, and 3 1/4 x 2 1/4. DSP measuring 5 x 1 3/4, 4 x 1 3/4, and 3 1/2 x 2 1/2.

I especially love a few of the extras. The cactus and the palm trees are so stinking cute. They are perfect for Arizona! Here is one of the alternatives I created with the blingy cactus. Isn’t it fun? (See another at the top of this post.)

Cheers to the Season Fall Card

Cheers to the Season Fall Card

Stampin’ Up!’s Abundant Beauty Decorative Masks have been sitting in my unopened and unused pile for a couple of months now. Does that happen to you? Today, I share a fun technique using one of the masks in conjunction with the Cheers to the Season stamp set. Find both of them in Stampin’ Up!’s September-December 2023 Mini Catalog.

Cheers to the Season Fall Card

I tried something a little different with the leaf design from the Abundant Beauty Decorative Mask collection. Be sure to watch the video below to see step-by-step instructions for creating this card. It’s a new-to-me heat embossing technique.

  • Cherry Cobbler card stock measuring 5 1/4 x 1 13/4 lightly taped to the back of the leaf design mask. (Rub card stock with embossing buddy before taping.)
  • Liberally apply Versamark ink on top of mask, ensuring you have good ink coverage.
  • Remove card stock from mask. Cover with gold embossing folder, tapping off the excess.
  • Heat with heat tool, heating all surfaces.
  • Add to a piece of Very Vanilla card stock measuring 5 1/4 x 4 embossed with a folder from the Basics 3D Embossing Folders. Add a strip (1/4 x 5 1/4) of Gold Foil adjacent to the embossed piece.
  • On a Very Vanilla square die cut with the largest square from the Stylish Shapes Dies, stamp the leaf image from Cheers to the Season in Cherry Cobbler ink.
  • Pop up on card front with dimensionals.
  • Add gold Simply Elegant Trim and gold sequins from the Neutrals Adhesive-Backed Sequins.
  • Card base is Cherry Cobbler cut a 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 scored at 4 1/4

I think this is a super fun heat embossing technique that adds a lot to the card. It also give you another way to use the decorative mask. I look forward to trying it with the snowflake mask in that collection.
