Welcome to the Team Stamp It Blog Hop: A watercolor card for Easter
Welcome to the March Blog Hop! Thanks for joining us today as we share a variety of Easter cards and projects. Be sure to visit each one and leave a comment. Comment with #stampitcontest to be entered into a drawing to win the Botanical Prints Medley.
My Easter Card
What do you do when you don’t have any Easter stamps? You peruse the Stampin’ Up! catalog and search for inspiration. I found my inspiration on page 109 of the Annual Catalog. It’s a watercolor, eclipse card. I thought this style worked well for the card I wanted to share. It features the the Hand-Lettered Prose dies.
Here’s a quick recap of how it goes together:
- Cut Shimmery White card stock – 5/14″ x 4″.
- Use Aquapainters to give a wash with Pear Pizzazz, Coastal Cabana, and Highland Heather.
- “Splatter” ink onto the card front.
- Die cut the word with the Hand-Lettered Prose Dies.
- Layer the Shimmery White onto a Highland Heather base.
- “Pop up” the letters using pieces of Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Add the “Blessings” sentiment from the Merry Christmas to All stamp set on a watercolor piece with Highland Heather ink.
- Die cut with the label from the Merry Christmas Dies.
- Attach the sentiment with Glue Dots to the front of the card.
- Color five Pearl Basic Jewels with Dark Highland Heather Stampin’ Blends. Attach to front of card.
Please let me know if you have questions about this card or how it was created.

Welcome to the March Maui Achievers Blog Hop where I’m sharing a Mother’s Day card.
Welcome to our monthly Maui Achievers Blog Hop. We’re a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world who have achieved the Stampin’ Up! bonus of the Maui trip. We want to celebrate this achievement by organizing a monthly hop which helps us to continue to inspire you creatively.
You may be starting here or have come from someone else’s blog – either way there’s a list at the end of this post to help you move around all the different blogs and get many amazing ideas. We all have our country listed – so if you’re looking for a demonstrator these are top demonstrators in their country and would love to help you with your Stampin’ Up! shopping or if you’d like to join our Stampin’ Up! teams.
This time of year brings a lot of different events and holiday to celebrate: Easter, graduations, weddings, Mother’s Day, and Father’s Day. Even though we may not be able to celebrate this events in person at this time, we can definitely send a card. I chose to feature a Mother’s Day card.
Maui Achievers Blog Hop: Mother’s Day Card
I actually made two cards for this hop. I can’t decide which one I like better. Please leave me a comment and let me know which card you prefer. I love, love, love the designs and color scheme of the Best Dressed 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper stack. And, the coordinating stamp set, Dressed to Impress offers the Mother’s Day sentiment and the pretty flowers. That’s where I started for the inspiration. I found a layout I like and went to work.
All of the Designer Series Paper comes from the same package. It’s fun to see the difference in the card by playing around with the different designs. I stamped the flowers in Stazon ink and colored them with a blender pen and the following colors: Old Olive, Daffodil Delight, Highland Heather, and Blackberry Bliss.
See a list of the products I used to create these cards at the very end of the post, after the list of blog hoppers. Be sure to visit all of them and leave a comment.

Stampin’ Up!’s Tropical Oasis Suite is one of my faves! Read further to see how I created this pineapple delight!
I can “hear” you frantically flipping through the January-June 2020 Mini Catalog (or maybe even the Annual Catalog) looking for the pineapple stamp. (Stampin’ Up! offered one a few years ago, and it’s retired). Inspired by Gina Shappa, I actually “created” my own stamps using the In the Tropics Dies and foam adhesive sheets (purchased from a big box craft store). Isn’t it super fun? I’m just loving the results.
Here’s the process/sandwich I used to make the “rubber” stamp images:
- Use the Big Shot Platform as the bottom layer.
- Working up, add a clear plate.
- Place a piece of the adhesive foam (adhesive side down) on the clear plate.
- Put your die cut on top of the foam, cut side down.
- Add the retired tan embossing pad. (You can also use the current Silicone Craft Sheet, but it may make some cut marks in the silicone.)
- Top it off with the 3D Embossing Folder Plate.
- Run through the die cut machine. (I will caution you that the sandwich is a little tight, so practice with different shims until you can cut the foam with the die cuts. You don’t want to injure your die cut machine.)
When I had the foam images, (aren’t they amazing?) I placed them on a clear block, applied ink and stamped away. The colors used for this delightful pineapple are Old Olive and Daffodil Delight, coordinating colors in the Tropical Oasis Designer Series Paper.
Sale-A-Bration Continues
