Easy Handmade Sticky Notepad Holder

Are you looking for an easy-to-create teacher gift? Or stocking stuffer? This easy handmade sticky note holder fits the bill perfectly. I list directions below. Be sure to watch the video at the end of the post for visual reference.

Easy Handmade Sticky Note Holder

Start with a piece of card stock measuring 8 inches by 3 1/4 inches. Score at 2 inches, 2 1/2 inches, 5 1/2, inches, and 6 inches. Fold on the score lines. Stampin’ Up! offers 50 different colors of card stock. Imagine the possibilities! Choose a coordinating Designer Series Paper or vice versa.

Place the sticky note pad in the middle of the card stock using Stampin’ Seal+ or Tear and Tape.

Adhere the Designer Series Paper pieces measuring 3 inches by 1 3/4 inches to the front card stock flaps.

Select a stamp set sentiment to adorn the holder. For the above holder, I used the “Smile” sentiment from the Daisy Lane stamp set and the Boho Indigo Designer Series Paper.

Use self-adhesive velcro dots to create a closure for the pad.

The holder below features Stampin’ Up!’s Christmas Gleaming stamp set, the coordinating Gleaming Ornament Punch Pack, and the Brightly Gleaming Designer Series Paper. These three products retire at the end of the August-December 2020 Mini Catalog period. This means you won’t be able to purchase them from Stampin’ Up! (Just a note: At the time of this post Wednesday, December 9), the punches and Designer Series Paper are discounted during the 2020 Year-End Closeout Sale. (The Year-End Closeout is while supplies last or through January 4.)

Snowflake Splendor Shaker Card

I’m showing you how to make a Snowflake Splendor Shaker Card. See the directions and video below.

Snowflake Splendor Shaker Card

Let it snow! Today’s shaker card makes that happen. Sometimes, shaker cards seem difficult to make. But this new technique is easy. It uses one of Stampin’ Up!’s Clear Envelopes. (I grabbed this idea from one of the presenters at our demonstrator gathering and made it my own.)

My class attendees loved making this card.

  • It starts with a Night of Navy card stock base.
  • The Snowflake Splendor Designer Series Paper is cut at 5 x 3 3/4.
  • Sentiment — stamped in Night of Navy — comes from Snowman Season stamp set.
  • Used Snowflake Sequins and retired Dazzling Diamond for the snow. (I saw another demonstrator use course sea salt as snow.)
  • 20 inches of the Misty Moonlight/Silver Bakers Twine from the Flowers for Every Season Ribbon Combo Pack.
  • Coordinating bling from the Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

Be sure to watch the video for a step-by-step presentation of how this card goes together.

Extended through Wednesday, November 25, Stampin’ Up! is holding its Online Extravaganza. Almost everything in the 2020-2021 Annual Catalog is 10 percent off. Some exclusions (seventy-four items) apply, but that leaves a whole of card stock, ink, stamp sets, bundles, embossing folders, and more on sale. Click here to shop online.

Please let me know if you have questions about this card or any other paper crafting projects. If you’re not currently working with a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, I’d love to help you in your crafting journey.

Snowman Season Gift Duo

Snowman Season

Stampin’ Up’s catalogs feature a great variety of stamps, dies, punches, ribbons, and Designer Series Paper to create your handmade holiday. I can’t choose a favorite — too many to list! But I do appreciate the sets with coordinating punches. The Snowman Season photopolymer set and the coordinating Snowman Builder Punch make crafting easy and fun. (I love that the punch includes segments for hat and stick arms!)

Snowman Season

This card uses Night of Navy card stock and the Snowflake Splendor Designer Series Paper. (I based this card off of a sketch our team is using for a challenge this month.)
