Happy May Day!

Stampin' Up! May Baskets

Stampin’ Up! May Baskets

Hello Stampers!

Do any of you remember May Day? Did you bring treat baskets to the neighbors’ houses, ring the bell, and run? I’m not sure if anyone even does that anymore! I’ve made these for a class and have a few leftover for our neighbors. I’ll ring the bell, but I probably won’t run!

I used Stampin’ Up!’s Sweet Cups available in the Occasions Catalog. You get ten cups for $8.50. These will be retiring, so you’ll want to grab a package a two. They’re very fun to decorate for a variety of occasions. A couple of months ago, I made one for dog treats. See that post here.

I added a handle using a strip of Pineapple Punch card stock measuring 8 1/2 inches by 3/4 inches. I glued that strip to the inside of the cup using Tombow Glue. The Happiness Blooms Designer Series Paper worked well for the May Day theme. I used the template provided by Stampin’ Up! I’d love to send one via email, if you’re interested. Then, just fill and deliver!

Thanks for stopping by today. Happy May Day! To see a list of products used, scroll to the bottom of this post. Each photo takes you directly to my online store where you can shop 24/7.

Stampin’ Up! You’re Inspiring and Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut Specialty Paper

Here’s a quick recap of how it went together:

  • Ink the Hardwood background stamp with Daffodil Delight ink and stamp on the front of a Daffodil Delight card stock base. (Hint: I used the Stamparatus, and it worked perfectly.).
  • Heat emboss the image from the You’re Inspiring stamp set in white on Shimmery White card stock.
  • Sprinkle the yellow Brusho onto the heat-embossed image.
  • Using an Aqua Painter, spread the Brusho onto the image and let it dry.
  • Place the Foam Adhesive Strips close to the edge and all around the outside of the Shimmery White piece. Peel off the top covering of the adhesive.
  • Adhere the oval from the Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut Specialty Paper.
  • Wrap a piece of White Baker’s Twin around this stack and tie a bow.
  • Stamp the “Happy Mother’s Day” sentiment from Itty Bitty Greetings onto a scrap of Whisper White card stock with Memento Black Ink.
  • Punch the sentiment out using the Classic Label Punch.
  • Adhere to the front of the card using a small piece of Foam Adhesive Strip.
  • Place the whole piece onto the Daffodil Delight base.

Just a quick note: The You’re Inspiring stamp set, the Hardwood background, the Brusho, and the Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut Specialty Paper are all retiring and won’t be available after June 3 (or before). If you want any of these products, be sure to order them soon before they’re gone.

Please let me know if you have questions. I’d be glad to help!

Delightful Daisy

Stampin' Up! Daisy Punch and Daisy Delight Stamp Set

Stampin’ Up! Daisy Punch and Daisy Delight Stamp Set

Hello Stampers!

Punches help make projects easy! Once again, I pulled out Stampin’ Up!’s Daisy Punch and coordinating stamp set Daisy Delight to create this thank-you card.

Here’s how it goes together:

  • Card base: Whisper White Thick
  • Designer Series Paper: Happiness Blooms. Cut at 5 ¼ x 4 inches
  • Top layer: Whisper White Thick cut at 5 x 3 ¾ inches
  • Punch the Daisy from the Whisper White
  • Using Night of Navy ink, stamp the sentiment
  • Adhere the Night of Navy Gingham Ribbon
  • Use dimensionals (I was very generous—using at least 10) to “pop” the piece up onto the Designer Series Paper.
  • Adhere panel to white base.
  • Cut a ½-inch circle from Pineapple Punch card stock and adhere to center of daisy

Super easy and super fun!

Butterfly Gala

Stampin' Up! Butterfly Gala and Butterfly Duet Punch

Stampin’ Up! Butterfly Gala and Butterfly Duet Punch

Hello Stampers!

The Butterfly Duet Punch has been one of the most popular Stampin’ Up! punches of all time! It coordinates with the Butterfly Gala stamp set. Both of these can be found in the Stampin’ Up! Occasions Catalog. The good news is that the punch will also be available in the 2019-2020 Annual Catalog. (You can order from that catalog beginning June 4.)

However, buy them now as a bundle and receive a 10 percent discount.

The color inspiration (Petal Pink, Mint Macaron, and Pool Party) for this card came from the Twinkle Twinkle Designer Series Paper. You can see the little strip of it that runs across the middle of the card.

I stamped each of the butterflies in each of the three inks and stamped them on their coordinating card sock. I then punched them out with the punch. The cool thing about the set is that the little butterfly and big butterfly are hooked together on the same stamp so it’s easy to punch.

The colors definitely say spring, and it’s finally here in Nebraska. I’ve made a lot of these cards to express my gratitude.

Thanks for stopping by today! To see a list of the products used in today’s projects, scroll to the bottom of the post. Click on any of the graphics to be taken directly to my online store where you can purchase these 24/7.

Please let me know if you have questions.
