Did you know that Paper Pumpkin started in 2013, and since then has shipped more than 5.2 million kits? That’s amazing!
What is Paper Pumpkin? It’s a monthly kit subscription delivered to your mailbox each month. Although there are sneak peeks, it’s mostly a surprise when you open your box and look at the contents. Kits vary from cards, to treat packets, to home decor. They arrive with everything you need to make the project inside, including card bases, die cuts, mini ink pad, stamp set, embellishments, envelopes, adhesives, and directions. First-time subscribers receive a free, clear block. Click here to subscribe or contact me for more information.
Generally, when my kit arrives, I make the kit as instructed. However, in the last few months, I’ve created alternates — cards and/or projects using many of the kit’s components. There’s even a Facebook page (Paper Pumpkin Fan Club), where crafters can post their alternates, and others can view them for inspiration.
Here’s a picture of the cards created exactly as the kit shows. This kit makes three each of three desings.
For today’s card, I used March’s Fluttering Garden Paper Pumpkin Kit to create a Reverse Gate Fold fun fold.
Measurements and Details
Pool Party cardstock base measuring 8 1/2 x 5 1/2, scored at 1 7/8, 3, 5 1/2, and 6 5/8
Cut up the card base from the kit: two pieces measuring 5 1/4 x 1 5/8
Cut the card base from the kit: one piece measuring 5 1/4 x 2 1/4
Stamped the garden/grass image with Pool Party ink on those pieces before adhering to card base.
Spotlight on Nature die cut from card base
I took apart one of the envelopes and die cut it with the largest circle from the Stylish Shapes Dies.
Used sentiment and hummingbird die cut images included in the kit
Added gems, also included in the kit

Fun folds can often be intimidating! But, today, through video and measurements, I show you how easy it is to create a Diagonal Joy Fold card with Stampin’ Up!’s Lovely Arrangements Bundle and Lovely Blossoms Designer Series Paper.
Lovely Blossoms 12 x 12 Designer Series Paper
Measurements and Details
Thick Basic White cardstock base measuring 8 1/2 x 5 1/2, scored at 4 1/4
Place your card base in the Stampin’ Trimmer. At the top, on the score line, align the top left corner in the trimmer track, rotate the piece so the bottom right point aligns in the trimmer track. You want to cut a diagonal. Be sure to watch the video to see this in action.
Lovely Blossoms Designer Series Paper measuring 5 1/4 x 4. Align the top left point of the DPS in the trimmer track, rotate the DSP so the bottom right point aligns in the trimmer track at the same time. Cut a diagonal piece. You can now create two cards.
Lovely Blossoms Designer Series Paper measuring 5 1/4 x 4
Secret Sea cardstock measuring 8 x 3, scored at 4 and folded in half
Lovely Blossoms Designer Series Paper (Petal Pink pattern) measuring 3 3/4 x 2 3/4
Basic White cardstock measuring 3 34/ x 2 3/4. For the inside on which to write a message.

For today’s post, I designed this card in line with Stampin’ Up!’s March creative challenge (#CreativeChallengeSU): to create a clean and simple card. From their Facebook post, I learned that clean and simple isn’t necessarily plain and boring. It actually comes with three principles attached. A clean and simple card includes:
A lot of negative space
Cluster element
Texture
Measurements and Details
Thick Basic White cardstock base measuring 8 1/2 x 5 1/2, scored and folded at 4 1/4
Basic White cardstock panel measuring 5 1/4 x 4, embossed with the Forever Plaid 3D Embossing Folder
Stylish Shapes Dies — circle cut with Basic White cardstock
Stamp the rabbit outline image with Gray Granite ink. Ink the solid rabbit image with Gray Granite and “stamp off” on a piece of scrap paper. Then, align the solid image within the border. This is called “two-step” stamping.
Color some grass with the Light Old Olive Stampin’ Blend.
Linen Thread
Moody Palette Glossy Dots
