Getting a new stamp set, bundle, or Designer Series Paper is exciting! It’s fun to rip into the package and start creating immediately. But oftentimes, you’re stumped. Just what are you going to do with the supplies you just purchased? Sometimes you head to Pinterest, and sometimes you use Google to help you find samples. Additionally, get other ideas by participating in a card swap.
That’s just one of the fun activities my team of Kim’s Paper Krafters participates in. (Click here to read about the great Starter Kit special and also discover how to become a member of my team.)
Eighteen people participated in our recent swap. The requirements: use current Stampin’ Up! product to create a holiday themed card. I made the card shown above. Be sure to watch the video at the end of this post to see the other seventeen holiday card samples. You’ll get lots of inspiration for your holiday card making — from fun folds and more.
Other ingredients include Stampin’ Up!’s Festive Foils Designer Series Paper, Merry Melody 3D Embossing Folder, the Soft Succulent Open Weave Ribbon, and Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewels. I chose a simple design to make 18 cards in preparation for the swap.

Making handmade greeting cards with Stampin’ Up! products is fun and satisfying, but it’s awesome there are other a lot of other projects to make. With our rubber stamps, ink, and paper, we can also create a host of small gift items and gift packaging. In today’s post, you’ll learn how to create a small gift bag with the Sweetest Christmas 12 x 12 Designer Series Paper.
With this simple design,(inspired by In the Pink Designs by Cathryn) you can use many patterned papers, stamp sets, and ribbons to create a variety of different gift bags. Fill the gift bags with chocolates and other goodies to give to neighbors, co-workers, gym buddies, book club pals, and more.
This easy-to-create gift bag uses Stampin’ Up!’s Festive Foils Designer Series Paper, Brightest Glow Stamp Set, and Labels Aglow Dies.
Sweetest Christmas Gift Bags
To create the pattern for the box, cut a piece of Designer Series Paper to 8 inches by 5 1/2 inches. You’ll be able to make two bags from each piece of 12 x 12 paper.
On the 8-inch side, score at: 1 1/4″, 3 3/4″, 5″, and 7 1/2″
On the 5 1/2-inch side, score at: 1 1/4″ and 4 1/4″
With your snips, trim the pieces as shown below. Also, watch the how-to video below for a visual look at how these bags come together.
Fold into a box, secure with Tear & Tape and decorate as you wish with sentiments, ribbon, and embellishments.

It’s fun to get off the beaten path of card making and try a fun fold, handmade greeting card. These are cards that have an unusual or unique fold or opening. There are certainly lots of options. Today, I’m showing you what’s called an “open panel” card. Be sure to watch the video below to see exactly how I create this card. In the video, I give the card dimensions, paper measurements, and demonstrate the two-step stamping technique.
Trimming the Tree Open Panel Card
This card features the Trimming the Tree Stamp Set and the Tree Trimmings Dies. Buy them as a bundle and save 10 percent. Look for the stamp set in Stampin’ Up!’s 2022-2023 Annual Catalog. It’s available through May 1, 2023. The coordinating die cuts, however, are a limited-time offering — available only through September 30, 2022. It’s part of the Perfect Partners promotion. See the chart below.
These dies offer fun and creative ways to not only die cut the tree but to also decorate the tree images — from bows to ornaments and more. I also used the Festive Foils Designer Series Paper.

When you’re a crafter, there’s nothing more exciting than creating with brand-new product. During September of 2022, Stampin’ Up! is offering six, brand-new die cut sets that coordinate with current sets in both the Annual Catalog and the July-December 2022 Mini Catalog. It’s called the Perfect Partners promotion, and it runs through September 30. See the graphic below for a look at the stamp sets and their new coordinating dies.
You’re able to purchase the stamp set separately, the die cuts alone, or both as a bundle (and save 10 percent).
Today, I’m sharing a card created with the Trimming the Tree Bundle. I love the dies. They cut the large tree, create two 3D-like trees, and give lots of options for decorating the tree with garland, stars, ribbons, baubles; there’s even a pot for the tree. And, the labels for the sentiments are unique.
This card also uses:
The Lights Aglow 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper
Gold Foil
Wintry 3D Embossing Folder (the evergreen pattern)
Large label from Seasonal Labels Dies
Coordinating colors include Cherry Cobbler, Evening Evergreen, Soft Succulent, and Very Vanilla
Red Rhinestone Jewels

Making your own handmade Christmas cards just got easier with Stampin’ Up!’s Trimming the Tree Bundle. The Trimming the Tree stamp set was released in the 2022-2023 Annual Catalog. And, just this month, Stampin’ Up! began offering coordinating dies. Buy the Trimming the Trees Stamp Set and Tree Trimmings Dies as a bundle and save 10 percent. This special ends September 30 or while supplies last.
The dies cut the large tree, create two 3D-like trees, and give lots of options for decorating the tree with garland, stars, ribbons, baubles; there’s even a pot for the tree. And, the labels for the sentiments are unique.
I used the Soft Succulent pattern from the Festive Foils Specialty Designer Series Paper to create the above card.
In addition to the Trimming the Tree Bundle, look for five other brand-new, limited-time bundled sets.
From pigs to yetis and flowers, these new bundles offer a lot of fun choices for paper crafting with rubber stamps, ink, and paper.
