Simply Zinnia Double Z Fold

Simply Zinnia Double Z Fold

Today, I’m sharing a Double Z Fold design fun fold using Stampin’ Up!’s Simply Zinnia stamp set and the coordinating Flowering Zinnias Designer Series Paper. Find these as part of Stampin’ Up!’s Online Exclusives. I just love the bright and cheery colors in this paper; it makes it so easy to create eye-catching and beautiful cards.

Here are the measurements for the card stock and Designer Series Paper (working from the bottom up)

  • Highland Heather card base measuring 11 x 4 1/4, scored and folded at 5 1/2
  • Lemon Lime Twist (to make the z fold) measuring 9 3/4 x 4, scored at 5 1/4 ad 7 1/2
  • Designer Series Paper measuring 5 x 3 3/4 and 3 3/4 x 2
  • Basic White card stock 4 1/4 x 2 3/4 for stamped image — colored with Stampin’ Blends (Highland Heather, Granny Apple Green, and Lemon Lolly)
  • Highland Heather card stock measuring 4 1/2 x 3 to layer stamped image
  • Highland Heather card stock 3 3/4 x 1/2 for sentiment heat embossed with white

This design allows the card to stand up and be displayed.

Fun Fold Gift Packaging

If you’re looking for a unique way to package a gift, I have a great DIY paper crafting idea to share today. It’s a fun fold using a 12 x 12 sheet of patterned paper. It’s so easy! With a few quick creases, you can create a pocket to hold a variety of gifts. Add a few embellishments, and you’re good to go. It’s super cute and is sure to wow. Think of all of the possibilities. A great way to use some of the pretty paper you’ve been hoarding.

Doggone Friendly 2024 Desktop Calendar

Doggone Friendly 2024 Desktop Calendar

In just a few days, the calendar rolls over to 2024! Let’s celebrate with some fun handmade, desktop calendars. (See this past post for a couple of other cute designs.)

Today’s calendar design features a sneak peak from Stampin’ Up!’s January-April 2024 Mini Catalog. The Doggone Friendly stamp set is perfect for any and all dog lovers. You can purchase it beginning January 4, 2024, when the catalog goes live. (#162729–$20)

This full background stamp suits all of our family well! Don’t you just love all of the dog faces? So many breeds to choose from. I created this calendar for my sister who has a Boston Terrier named Reggie.

Stampin' Up! Doggone Friendly

Doggone Friendly 2024 Desktop Calendar

  • Basic Black card stock base measures 4 1/4 x 11, scored at 2 3/4 and 5 1/2
  • Layer for the base of the calendar: Real Red card stock measuring 5 1/4 x 4, Basic White measuring  5 x 3 3/4, stamped with the Doggone Friendly stamp set with Memento, Basic Black measuring 3 1/2 x 3 1/2. Add notepad.
  • Calendar layer measurements: Basic Black card stock measuring 5 1/4 x 4, Basic White measuring 5 x 3 3/4 stamped with the Doggone Friendly stamp set in Memento, Basic Black card stock measuring 3 1/2 x 2 3/4. Add calendar.
  • Created the focal piece by stamping the Doggone Friendly stamp set with Memento on white and die cutting the dog I wanted to feature with a circle from the Stylish Shapes Dies. Layered this on a circle punched with Real Red card stock. Added a bow from the Baker’s Twin Essentials Pack. Finished it off with three Black Matte Dots.

I know my sister will love this calendar, especially when it features her dog.

Be sure to watch the video below for step-by-directions from my craft room in Mesa, Arizona. Although the video features a different calendar design, the basic instructions still hold true.

Petal Park 2024 Desktop Calendar

Hello, and welcome to the December Stampin’ Up! Trip Achiever Blog Hop. We’re so glad you joined us. As a group, we’ve worked our Stampin’ Up! businesses enough to earn the Annual Incentive Trip. The year 2024 is just around the corner! So that means it’s time to create some fun, handmade desktop calendars. I love to make these every year and give them as gifts. Today, I show you a version that includes a notepad. The layout follows the same principles as an easel card.

Petal Park 2024 Desktop Calendar

I love this project because you can use a variety of stamps, inks, and papers to create individualized calendars for your friends and family. Check back this week to see other themes I’ve created.
