Hubby’s Birthday

Hubby’s Birthday

Hello Stampers! My husband's birthday is July 24. It happens the same day, year after year. So, why do I wait until the last minute to create a card? I'm usually licking the envelope as he walks in the door from work. I never plan ahead and that leaves me scrambling every single year. Yikes! So yesterday afternoon, I grabbed some remnants left from a class last week and  quickly pulled something together. (He "likes" my Facebook posts, but I'm certain he doesn't read my blog posts. Let's hope!) I had some leftover Blueberry Bushel Foil and a scrap of the In Color Blueberry Bushel Designer Series Paper. He's a bike rider so I used that for...

Time for Tags Birthday

Hello Stampers! Sometimes the host sets in the back of the Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog get overlooked. But you don't want to miss out on this versatile set that has a coordinating punch (Timeless Label Punch). Host a stamping gathering with a few of your friends and you can purchase this set with the rewards you earn from the party. It's valued at $21, but you can use $12.50 of your rewards to add it to your collection. There are five fun images perfect for coloring. Here, I've used the colors of Melon Mambo and Bermuda Bay featuring the 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper Collections. I used the Stampin' Write Markers to color the image. Click on...

Over the Moon Thank You

Over the Moon Thank You

Hello Stampers! It's almost as much fun getting handmade cards in the mail as it is creating them! This card came from my team member Kathy Blume. It features the Over the Moon stamp set (so stinkin' cute), the Buffalo Check background stamp, and We'll Walrus Be Friends stamp set. It's a lot of fun mixing and matching stamps and products from different sets. And, if you like a little bit of coloring, the cow is a fun image to be creative with. Use your Stampin' Write Markers, your Stampin' Blends, or watercolor pencils. Thanks for stopping by today. Click on any of the graphics below to be taken directly to my online store where you can...

Sailing Away Lip Balm Holder

Sailing Away Lip Balm Holder

Hello Stampers! When people come to my classes and events, I always like to treat them with a little packet created with Stampin' Up! products. Mostly, it's candy or chocolate, but I changed it up this time and made lip balm holders featuring the Sailing Home Bundle of products. This started with a piece of Night of Navy card stock cut at 5 1/2 inches by 3 1/2 inches. It's scored (on the longer edge) at 2 1/4-inches from each edge. The center piece measures 1 inch by 3 inches and is scored at 3/4 inches on each side. I used a bone folder to loosen the fibers on the paper so it has a little bend where you can  place the lip balm once the...

July #simplestamping

July #simplestamping

Hello Stampers! Each month, Stampin' Up! has issued a #simplestamping challenge. Create a card using just rubber stamps, ink, and paper. This month, the bonus is to add Designer Series Paper. That's hardly a challenge! The Designer Series Paper is so beautiful, it's just hard to choose which one to use. This card features the See a Silhouette Designer Series Paper. The colors and designs just stand on their own. The base is Crush Curry that measures 5 1/2 inches by 11 inches and is scored and folded in the middle. The second layer is Blackberry Bliss cut at 5 1/4 x 4. And the See a Silhouette measures 5 x 3 3/4 inches. The sentiment comes...
