Light the Sky New Year Card

Light the Sky New Year Card

Perhaps you’ve never thought of sending a card celebrating the new year? Maybe you haven’t had time to create your Christmas cards? So, why not create and send a new year card? For me, this holiday calls for gold, heat embossing, and bling.

For today’s card, I use Stampin’ Up!’s Light the Sky Stamp Set. Find it on page 58 of Stampin’ Up!’s September-December 2023 Mini Catalog. It’s still available for purchase. Buy the stamp set and coordinating dies as a bundle and save 10 percent.

(As a side note: this set also lends itself well to other celebrations such as weddings, graduations, the Fourth of July, and even birthdays.)

My card is pretty quick and easy. Here are a few details:

  • Very Vanilla Thick Card Stock base measuring 11 x 4 1/4, scored and folded at 5 1/2
  • Gold Foil measuring 5 1/4 x 4, die cut with the Radiating Stitches Dies. (These dies are available as part of Stampin’ Up!’s Online Exclusive offerings. Remember to check out these items that are not found in any catalog.)
  • Basic Black measuring 2 7/8 x 4 1/4
  • Very Vanilla measuring 2 3/4 and 4 1/8 and heat embossed in gold.
  • Adhesive-Backed Sparkle Gems

Thanks so much for visiting my blog today. Please let me know if you have questions about this card or any other stamping related questions. Remember to visit all of the participating blogs to gain stamping inspiration for the new year. Leave a comment and you’ll be entered to win a Confetti Birthday Card Kit.
