Hello Stampers!
At my last in-home class, the stampers got an opportunity to play with Stampin’ Up!’s new Decorative Masks. You get two sheets — either stars and hearts or circles and stripes – for just $2.95 per package. What a fun way to create a unique background. We placed the mask over our Whisper White Card Stock and used a sponge dauber to apply the ink over the mask. Cool, huh? The 8 x 8 masks would also work well to create a background for a scrapbook page. (And with a quick rinse or swipe of a baby wipe, these masks clean up well.)
Here’s what the stars and hearts masks look like:
In the above card, we combined the Fabulous Four stamp set with the new In Colors (Mossy Meadow), the 2014-2016 In Color Designer Series Paper Pack, and the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack. This card, inspired by Alanna Wharf, was made in a note card size — 5 x 3 /12.
The other sentiments in the Fabulous Four set are perfect for creating a set of all-occasion note cards. And, that’s exactly what we did!

Hello Stampers!
I spent the Fourth of July weekend in Durango, Colorado, helping my sister celebrate her 50th birthday. (Her birthday is actually next week, but I’ll be in Salt Lake City at Stampin’ Up!’s annual convention.) But what a good excuse to check out her new home and her new town.
Here’s the card I made for her special day. I’ve been hooked on Blackberry Bliss paired with Hello Honey — so this is what popped into my head.
I used a variety of Stampin’ Up! goodies to create this card:
- Hello Honey, Blackberry Bliss, and Whisper White card stock
- Blackberry Bliss Classic Stampin’ Pad
- In Color 2014-2016 Designer Series Paper Stack
- Fabulous Four Stamp Set (I had this out on the table for my class Thursday night)
- Starburst Framelits Dies
- Banner Framelits Dies
- Decorative Dots Embossing Folder
- Typset Alphabet Bigz (this is retired but I haven’t had the chance to purchase the new Perfect Print Numbers Bigz)
Below is a photo of my sister Kara and her friend Joe unwrapping some of her lovely 50th birthday gifts. (What’s a 50th birthday without some gag gifts!) If you look closely you can see the homemade wrapping paper. I used the Memorable Moments stamp set and stamped some “moving” paper with Black Stazon. Love it when Stampin’ Up! products can be called upon in a pinch!
And we had creme brule for dessert!

Hello Stampers!
As promised, here is a sample of the thank-you card we made at a recent class featuring the Work of Art stamp set.
The colors used here are Coastal Cabana and Black Stazon. I’m glad I had an opportunity to use the new black Baker’s Twine in the new Stampin’ Up! catalog.
To get the cool image, I inked the squiggle stamp in Coastal Cabana and kept stamping down the page without reinking. Fun, fun, fun!
It’s a very simple card to replicate! Have fun!

Happy Independence Day!
Here’s a fun card we made in our class that featured the Work of Art stamp set. That is one amazing set! There are so many different ways you can use the swirls and swooshes and dots and lines. I CASEd this card from Tami White and Esther, but just changed one small item. I included a star punched from the Red Glimmer Paper instead of a sentiment.
On Monday, I’ll share another card we made with Work of Art so I can show you its versatility!
Have a great day!
