Happy new year! Welcome to 2026! This year, I wish for you many happy crafting experiences. I’m excited to start the year with new products from Stampin’ Up! On January 6, the January-April 2026 Mini Catalog goes live, as well as a robust slate of Online Exclusives. Check back here for links and inspiration.
Today’s card uses something new (Reason to Celebrate Photopolymer Stamp Set) and something old (Modern Christmas Designer Series Paper). I just love the black, gold, and white combination of this patterned paper. Not only did I create a nice selection of holiday cards, but now it does its work for a new year card. Making new year cards gives me an opportunity to send best wishes to those I missed during the holiday. Do you make and send new year cards?

Since receiving my package of the True Blue Florals 12 x 12 Designer Series Paper, I’ve nearly used an entire package of patterned paper. That’s 12 sheets, two each of six designs. I’ve experimented with the patterns using a variety of my go-to layouts that work well with most double-sided patterned papers.
The True Blue Florals DSP is Stampin’ Up!’s first Product of the Month offering. Each month, Stampin’ Up! introduces a Product of the Month. Place an online store purchase of at least $75 (before tax, shipping, and redeemed rewards), and unlock the opportunity to purchase the Product of the Month for just $5. Available while supplies last and limited to one per customer. I can’t wait to see the January Product of the Month.
For today’s cards, I used a fun circle layout. Using Stampin’ Up!’s Stylish Shapes Dies, I die cut different size circles from varying True Blue Florals patterns. I then layered them on a Basic Beige card front and added a sentiment.

See below for another version using slightly different papers. I also embossed the Basic Beige background with the Lovely Stripes 3D Embossing Folder (available for order beginning January 6).
If you love this DSP, check out some other posts featuring this patterned paper. Remember, most of the cards I’ve created can be made with any double-sided paper in your stash.
