Sail Away Treats

Stampin' Up! Come Sail Away Suite

Stampin’ Up! Come Sail Away Suite

Hello Stampers!

For each class or event I hold, I love to surprise the attendees with a treat packet — usually filled with chocolate! This last week, I held a class featuring products from Stampin’ Up!’s new Annual Catalog. One of the brand-new suites is Come Sail Away. It’s filled with a great variety of coordinating products including the Sailing Home stamp set, Smooth Sailing Dies, Come Sail Away Designer Series Paper, Sail Away Trinkets, Baker’s Twine, and more.

This package starts with Stampin’ Up!’s Clear Tiny Treat Boxes. They measure 2 x 2 x 2, so they are great size for small favors. And, they are a blank canvas. You can decorate them any way you wish. And, they’re a great value. You receive 16 boxes for $7.50. They make great favors for weddings, baby showers and birthday parties.

I used the Come Sail Away Designer Series Paper to decorate the outside panels of the box. They are square, and are cut at just under 2 inches each. (These pieces were actually scraps from another project, and I was able to find a great use for them!). I decorated the front of the box with the anchor from the Smooth Sailing Dies cut from Silver Foil Sheets. I added a bit of the Night of Navy/Sahara Sand Baker’s Twine on the front. Inside the box, I added shreddie and a fun chocolate treat. I wrapped it all up with the Linen Ribbon from the Magnolia Lane Ribbon Combo Pack.

Thanks for stopping by today. You can see a list of all of the products I used for this project today down below. Click on any of the graphics to be taken directly to my online store.

Please let me know if you have any questions of how this project went together.

June Challenge: #simplestamping

Stampin' Up! Good Morning Magnolia #simplestamping

Stampin’ Up! Good Morning Magnolia #simplestamping

Hello Stampers!

A new Stampin’ Up! catalog is so exciting! It’s always hard to know what to order first. The Good Morning Magnolia stamp set and coordinating Magnolia Memory Dies and Magnolia Lane Designer Series paper were the first on my list.

I love large images that become the focus of the card. It makes it easy to create a quick, but still beautiful card, without a lot of fuss and thought.

Stampin’ Up! is challenging us to get back to the basics of stamping: rubber stamps, ink, and paper. This card qualifies for that, and the two-time stamping technique just adds a bit of dimension.

Here’s how this card came together:

Petal Pink Card Stock: Base–8 1/2 x 5 1/2, folded in half. 4 1/4 x 3

Very Vanilla: 5 1/4 x 4 and 4 x 2 3/4

Apply a tiny bit of SNAIL onto the back of the small vanilla piece. Place on top of the large vanilla piece, trying your best to center. Ink the Magnolia stamp with Soft Suede ink. Stamp the image on the top of both pieces of Very Vanilla while they are stuck together. For this card, I tried to stamp the image farther to the left to leave room for the sentiment. Stamp the sentiment with Soft Suede. While the pieces are still together, apply Petal Pink ink (with a sponge) to the flowers and Soft Sea Foam to the leaves. Gently remove  the top Very Vanilla piece. Adhere it to the 4 1/4 x 3 Petal Pink paper. Carefully match up the images and adhere to the Very Vanilla and finally, the base.

Thanks for stopping by today. Click on the graphics below to be taken directly to my online store where you can purchase the products used to create today’s card. Let me know if you have questions!

Above the Clouds Sneak Peek

Stampin' Up! Above the Clouds, Hot Air Balloon Punch

Stampin’ Up! Above the Clouds, Hot Air Balloon Punch

Hello Stampers!

It’s almost here! In just a little more than 24 hours, we can order anything we want from Stampin’ Up!’s new Annual Catalog. Today, I’m sharing a fun card created with the Above the Clouds Bundle. It features the photopolymer Above the Clouds stamp set and coordinating Hot Air Balloon Punch. I also used some of the brand-new In Colors: Seaside Spray, Purple Posy and Terra Cotta Tile. I punched the balloons from the 6 X 6 Designer Series Paper Stacks. Notice the gingham? I can’t wait to order these versatile papers in all of the colors. The sentiment comes from the Itty Bitty Birthdays stamp set, also available in the upcoming catalog.

Thanks for stopping by today! Check back for another card tomorrow when the catalog goes live.

Good Morning Magnolia

Stampin' Up! Good Morning Magnolia

Stampin’ Up! Good Morning Magnolia

Hello Stampers!

There’s so much to love in Stampin’ Up!’s new 2019-2020 annual Catalog that debuts June 4. The Magnolia Lane Suite is absolutely gorgeous and can be used for many occasions. In addition to the Enjoy Today sentiment used in today’s cards, other greetings include: Thanks, Thinking of You, Hello as well as some great inside verses.

I’ve used a Soft Suede base that measures 4 1/4 by 8 1/2 and folded. The Petal Pink panel is 4 1/8 x 4 1/8. I stamped the magnolia image in Soft Suede ink on to a piece of Whisper White card stock measuring 4 x 4. I applied Petal Pink ink to the flowers and Soft Sea Foam ink on the leaves with Stampin’ Sponges. I then cut the image into three equal pieces and attached them to the Petal Pink base. The sentiment in stamped in Soft Suede ink and trimmed with a snips. I sponged a bit of color onto the sentiment. The card is finished off with Linen Trim.

This suite also includes the Magnolia Memory Dies, the Magnolia 3D Embossing Folder, and the beautiful Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper. Look also for coordinating ribbon, Memories and More Card Pack and Specialty Cards and Envelopes and cork embellishments.

I can’t wait for the new catalog to go live June 4. If you don’t already have a demonstrator and want a catalog, message me and I’ll get one in the mail.

Happy stamping!

Gable Box Gifts

Stampin' Up! Mini Gable Boxes, Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper, Timeless Label Punch, Beautiful You

Stampin’ Up! Mini Gable Boxes, Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper, Timeless Label Punch, Beautiful You

Hello Stampers!

Each time I hold a class or event, I love to treat the attendees with some kind of treat packaging — with chocolate inside, of course! Stampin’ Up!’s Mini Gable Boxes are fun to decorate with Designer Series Papers, ribbons, and sentiments. They are perfect for baby shower and bridal shower treats and would even work well for wedding favors. These boxes are retiring from Stampin’ Up! catalog and won’t be available after June 3. You receive 12 boxes for $8.

I decorated the boxes with the 12 x 12 Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper (this paper is retiring). I used four pieces: 2 cut at 1 3/4 x 1 3/4 inches and 2 cut at 1 3/4 x 4 inches. The sentiment comes from the Beautiful Day stamp set and is punched out the new Timeless Label Punch.

Be sure to check out the retiring products. Stock up and get your favorites before they’re gone (or have to pay inflated prices on eBay!)
