Loveliest Tree Card Samples

Loveliest Tree Card Samples

With so many brand-new products to choose from in Stampin’ Up!’s 2024-2025 Annual Catalog, I didn’t know where to start! Trust me, so many sets and bundles caught my eye.

For my monthly card classes this month, I chose the Loveliest Tree Bundle. Why?

  • It’s a great price point at $36 for the stamp set and coordinating dies.
  • The Loveliest Tree stamp set offers just the right sentiments: sympathy, thank you, birthday, and congratulations.
  • It lends itself well to creating masculine cards — or cards for anyone.
  • It’s perfect for using a host of techniques.

Stampin' Up! Loveliest Tree Bundle

Today, I’m sharing three cards we created during the class this last week.

Loveliest Tree Card Samples

Here are some measurements for the card featured at the top of the page, the congratulations card:

  • Pool Party cardstock base measuring 8 1/2 x 5 1/2, scored and folded at 4 1/4
  • Pool Party cardstock panel measuring 5 1/4 x 4, embossed with the So Swirly Embossing Folder
  • Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper measuring 4 1/2 x 3 1/4
  • Apply watercolor wash with Pool Party ink refill
  • Pool Party die cut circle from Stylish Shapes Dies and label from Something Fancy Dies
  • 2 3/8″ inch circle punch to punch tree from center
  • Iridescent Adhesive Backed Discs

Be sure to watch the video near the end of this post to see how this card comes together. It uses a combination of the spotlight technique and the eclipse technique and a watercolor wash.

Sweetly Scripted Free Card Tutorial

Sweetly Scripted Free Card Tutorial

For today’s card, I combine the brand-new Unbounded Beauty Designer Series Paper and the Sweetly Scripted stamp set with the split triangle card design. Find this beautiful double-sided, patterned paper in Stampin’ Up!’s 2024-2025 Annual Catalog.

I’m happy to offer a free tutorial to help you create this card at home. Enjoy!

Sweetly Scripted Free Card Tutorial

Stampin’ Up! Supplies:

  • STAMPS – Sweetly Scripted (163600)
  • PAPER – Pretty in Pink Cardstock (163793), Summer Splash Cardstock (163797), Basic White Cardstock (159276), Unbounded Beauty 12 x 12 Designer Series Paper (DSP) (163372)
  • INK – Summer Splash (163809)
  • OTHER – 2024-2026 In Color Shimmer Gems (163781), Stampin’ Seal (152813), Mini Glue Dots (103683), Multipurpose Liquid Glue (110755), Paper Trimmer (152392)

Cutting & Scoring:

  • Pretty in Pink Cardstock – 8 ½” x 5 ½”, scored at 4 ¼” and folded
  • Summer Splash – 4 ¼” x 3 ¼”
  • Basic White Cardstock – 5 ¼” x 4
  • DSP – 4” x 3”

Instructions:

  • Place your DSP in the Paper Trimmer at a diagonal. Line up the top right point and the bottom left point with the cutting track. Cut the paper in half on this diagonal, creating two triangles.
  • Cut the Summer Splash Cardstock in the same manner.
  • Adhere the DSP to the Summer Splash Cardstock pieces. There is a small border around the DSP. The Multipurpose Liquid Glue works best. It gives you a few seconds to be sure the pieces are where you want them.
  • Glue one triangle on the top left corner of the card base and another in the bottom right, leaving room to stamp the sentiment.
  • Stamp the sentiment with Summer Splash ink on a diagonal in the space between the triangles.
  • Add three Summer Splash gems.
  • Place Basic White Cardstock panel in the middle of the card.

Split Triangle Birthday Card

Split Triangle Birthday Card

Birthday card using Flowering Zinnias Designer Series Paper

Designer Series Paper. It’s the one crafting item I have a lot of. In fact, I collect it; I love it. And I want to use it. Can you relate?

This fun design allows me to showcase all the pretty patterned paper in a fun and unique way.

In today’s post, I share this sketch in conjunction with Stampin’ Up!’s Sweetly Scripted Stamp Set and a variety of its current Designer Series Papers. Please note: Most of these paper designs are retiring soon. So grab what you want before it’s gone. In addition, find the Sweetly Scripted Stamp Set online; it’s part of Stampn’ Up!’s Online Exclusives. I really appreciate the breadth of sentiments offered, including the ones I frequently use.

Split Triangle Card Design

Here are a few details about this design:

  • Card base of choice measuring 8 1/2 x 5 1/2, scored and folded at 4 1/2. I tried to choose a lighter color background so I could stamp directly onto the card base.
  • Designer Series Paper measuring 4 x 3. With your paper trimmer, turn your DSP on an angle and trim from the top right corner to the bottom left corner. This gives you two pieces.
  • Coordinating card stock measuring 4 1/4 x 3 1/4. Again, turn this on an angle and trim from the top right to the bottom left corner.
  • Adhere both pieces together. Glue works best as it gives you some wiggle room while getting the DSP in place.
  • Add to card front with one triangle in the upper left corner and the other in the bottom right.
  • Stamp desired sentiment with coordinating ink in the space between the two triangles.

Everyday Details Flip Front Fun Fold

Everyday Details Flip Front Fun Fold

There’s a lot going on with today’s card. It’s a fun fold, specifically the Flip Front Fun Fold. And, it uses product you can earn free during Stampin’ Up!’s SaleABration promotion: the Light & Airy Designer Series Paper (DSP). In addition, I paired it with the Everyday Details Bundle (available in Stampin’ UP!’s January-April 2024 Mini Catalog). I love how the bird nest image from the Everyday Details stamp set coordinates with the bird images from the Light & Airy DSP.

The Everyday Details Dies enticed me to purchase the bundle. I love the dotted borders on the dies.
