This week I’ve been playing with the Diagonal Joy Fold fun fold. I love that I can use different Stampin’ Up! papers and stamp sets to create this fun fold. Some of the other cards include the Lovely Arrangements Bundle and the Easter Joy Specialty Paper.
This fold may look intimidating, but it’s really quite easy.
Here’s the card partially open:
Measurements and Details
Secret Sea cardstock base measuring 8 1/2 x 5 1/2, scored at 4 1/4
Place your card base in the Stampin’ Trimmer. At the top, on the score line, align the top left corner in the trimmer track, rotate the piece so the bottom right point aligns in the trimmer track. You want to cut a diagonal. Be sure to watch the video to see this in action.
Beach Boardwalk Designer Series Paper measuring 5 1/4 x 4. Align the top left point of the DPS in the trimmer track, rotate the DSP so the bottom right point aligns in the trimmer track at the same time. Cut a diagonal piece. You can now create two cards.

Each month, Stampin’ Up! offers a creative challenge (#CreativeChallengeSU). This month’s challenge calls for creators to make a clean & simple card. From their Facebook live, I also learned how to create a clean & simple card. Click here to see another similar example.
Here are the three principles the designers discussed. A clean and simple card includes:
A lot of negative space
Cluster element
Texture
I tried to do that with today’s card. What do you think? Did I fill all the requirements?
