Season of Chic Gift Box

Season of Chic Gift Box

Sometimes, you need a quick gift box for a last-minute gift. Keep some of Stampin’ Up!’s Kraft Gift Boxes on hand. (Find them on page 140 of Stampin’ Up!’s 2022-2023 Annual Catalog.) You receive ten of them for $10. During SaleABration — now through August 31, 2002, receive a package free with a $50 order.

They’re very easy to assemble. Watch the video below for a quick visual.

They’re large enough to hold full-size cards and envelopes as well as other small gifts. And, you can decorate them any way you want to match the gift or the holiday for which you’re giving. Or, don’t decorate them at all; they have a peekaboo window to showcase what’s inside. Adorn with a ribbon and a gift tag, and you’re good to go!

Splendid Day Quick and Easy Cards

Splendid Day Quick and Easy Cards

Are you looking to make some quick, easy, and gorgeous handmade greeting cards? Today’s post features two cards with an accompanying video.

I use Stampin’ Up!’s Splendid Day Stamp Set, the coordinating Splendid Stems Dies (buy them as a bundle and save 10 percent), and the Splendid Day 12 x 12 Designer Series Paper. This paper is just gorgeous, sporting beautiful full page foil designs on one side of the double-sided paper. Find all of these products in Stampin’ Up!’s July-December 2022 Mini Catalog on pages 64 and 65.

The top card uses thin strips of the foil design from the patterned paper. Cut a bunch of these at one time and create multiple cards. Each strip measures 5 inches x 3/4 inches. The coordinating base is Mint Macaron, as is the ink for the sentiment. I used the Double Oval Punch to layer the sentiment and added ribbon.

Stampin' Up! Splendid Thoughts

This second card (above)  shows an example of the die stenciling technique. (See this post for another card sample and video.)

Sunny Splash Fun Fold

Sunny Splash Fun Fold

From the time I was born, my family spent our summers at “the lake.” First, it started as just a weeklong vacation, and that turned into two weeks, and then three months. What memories we made during these idyllic summers in Minnesota. We spent entire days in our swim suits, reading books on the dock. So Stampin’ Up!’s Sunny Splash stamp set holds some nostalgia. (Find this set in Stampin’ Up’s Annual Catalog on page 41.)

I’ve had a lot of fun creating with this set. Today, I combine it with a fun fold inspired by Jackie Bolhuis.

Sunny Splash Fun Fold

Here are some basic measurements for this card. Be sure to watch the video at the end of this post, to see exactly how it goes together.

  • Card Base measures 7 1/4 inches x 5 1/2 inches, score at 3 inches
  • Coordinating card stock measures 1 /2 inches x 4, score at 1 inch — this is the tab/arm for your fun fold
  • Card stock measuring 3 1/4 x 3 1/4
  • Basic card stock measuring 3 x 3. This is where you’ll add a die cut and/or stamp and sentiment. I inked the Rays of Light stamp set with Crushed Curry and “stamped off” on a scratch paper and then applied the stamp to my 3 x 3 square. The sentiment is stamped in Pacific Point and the swim suit in Melon Mambo.
  • Designer Series Paper measuring 5 1/4 x 2 3/4 and 5 1/4 x 1 1/4
  • Color card stock 1/4 x 5 1/4
  • Basic White measuring 5 1/4 x 4
