Come to Gather Thank You

Hello Stampers!

I initially purchased three packages of Stampin’ Up!’s 12 x 12 Come to Gather Designer Series Paper. It’s filled with an array of fall themes and images, but I never thought I’d use it all. Well, I did. And, I’m waiting for two additional packages to arrive next week. Today, I wanted to create some thank you cards to send to my Paper Pumpkin subscribers and was forced to create something with just the scraps I had. This is the result.

I CASEd the layout and design from a card I received from Kathryn Collison for World Card Sending Week. In addition to the Come to Gather DSP, I used the sentiment from Good Morning Magnolia and the limited-time only Gold Shimmer Ribbon. The colors of the card stock are Merry Merlot and Early Espresso. Just a quick and easy card that’s oh so pretty in person.

Click on any of the graphics below to be taken directly to my online store where you can purchase any of the products to create this card at home. Shoot me an email or message if you need help with dimensions, colors, or technique.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Stampin' Up! Country Home and Rooted in Nature

Stampin’ Up! Country Home and Rooted in Nature

Hello Stampers!

Last night, I had the opportunity to stamp with an awesome group of teenage girls in Queen Creek, Arizona. Their creativity just blew me away!

I cut the pieces and showed them, step by step, how to create this card with rubber stamps, ink, and paper. But some of the ways they changed the card to make it their own were just amazing. (I should have taken some photos, but we were too wrapped up in crafting.)

The card starts with a Crumb Cake base, on top of which is a piece of the Come to Gather Designer Series Paper. We stamped the stump image from Rooted in Nature with Soft Suede ink onto Very Vanilla card stock. We then added two leaves punched with the Cherry Cobbler card stock and the Leaf Punch. On top of that, we inserted a small slice of the Come to Gather DSP. And, finally, we stamped the sentiment (perfect for this month of gratitude) in Soft Suede on Very Vanilla card stock.

It was fun stamping with a group of girls who let their creativity flow.

I’m headed back in December to stamp on wooden tree ornaments and create a Gold Foil gift box.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Kim

Stampin' Up! Inspiration Project

Cozy flannel shirts, soft checkered scarves, and packages wrapped in festive plaid are all favorites of the fall and winter seasons. To me, plaid and the holidays go hand in hand, so I was thrilled when I saw the Wrapped In Plaid Suite. The Perfectly Plaid stamp set and coordinating Pine Tree Punch are already a holiday hit.

Beyond the holidays, the plaid papers and natural tree images will still be on my go-to list for nature-themed and masculine cards. This month’s tutorial features the fabulous Wrapped In Plaid Suite. I hope you get as wrapped up in this fun plaid theme as I am!

Wrapped In Plaid 3D Tree Card

Stampin' Up! Inspiration Project

Bring the cozy comforts of winter to your holiday cards with the Wrapped In Plaid Suite and a simple stamping technique. The Wrapped In Plaid 6″ x 6″ Specialty Designer Series Paper, with it’s variety of plaid patterns and gold foil accents, really makes this card shine.

For just a bit more plaid, the card is stamped with the popular Buffalo Check background stamp (#147797 wood, #151372 cling). The realistic pine tree image in the Perfectly Plaid stamp set is perfect for creating a two-tone color effect with the Rock n’ Roll technique!

Stampin' Up! Inspiration Project

1. Stamp Background

Score 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ Crumb Cake cardstock at 4-1/4″ along 8-1/2″ side. Ink Buffalo Check background stamp with VersaMark ink. For best results lay cardstock onto the stamp and rub the back of the cardstock to transfer the image.

2. Rock n’ Roll

To create the Rock n’ Roll stamping technique, ink realistic tree with Garden Green ink. Roll edges of the tree onto the Shaded Spruce ink pad. Stamp onto Very Vanilla cardstock. Die cut with largest circle from Stitched Shapes dies.

4. Decorate & Embellish

Cut a 6″ piece of 1/2″ Classic Weave Ribbon. Trim ends so the right edge ends with a full copper Christmas Greeting. Adhere across card with SNAIL or Glue Dots. Trim off excess ribbon at left edge of card. Add copper Star Designer Element above the tree.
