Stampin’ Up! Enjoy Life and Swirly Frames for Hubby’s Birthday

Hello Stampers!

My husband’s birthday is July 24. It happens the same day, year after year. So, why do I wait until the last minute to create a card? I’m usually licking the envelope as he walks in the door from work. I never plan ahead and that leaves me scrambling every single year. Yikes! So yesterday afternoon, I grabbed some remnants left from a class last week and  quickly pulled something together. (He “likes” my Facebook posts, but I’m certain he doesn’t read my blog posts. Let’s hope!)

I had some leftover Blueberry Bushel Foil and a scrap of the In Color Blueberry Bushel Designer Series Paper. He’s a bike rider so I used that for the feature from the Enjoy Life stamp set. The sentiment comes from Ity Bitty Birthdays and the background is from Swirly Frames.

Thanks for stopping by today!

July #simplestamping

Stampin’ Up! #simplestamping

Hello Stampers!

Each month, Stampin’ Up! has issued a #simplestamping challenge. Create a card using just rubber stamps, ink, and paper. This month, the bonus is to add Designer Series Paper. That’s hardly a challenge! The Designer Series Paper is so beautiful, it’s just hard to choose which one to use.

This card features the See a Silhouette Designer Series Paper. The colors and designs just stand on their own.

The base is Crush Curry that measures 5 1/2 inches by 11 inches and is scored and folded in the middle. The second layer is Blackberry Bliss cut at 5 1/4 x 4. And the See a Silhouette measures 5 x 3 3/4 inches. The sentiment comes from Stampin’ Up!’s Itty Bitty Birthdays stamp set.

The purpose of the challenge is to demonstrate that simple cards can be beautiful, and it’s an easy way to get started stamping.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Remember: Place a $50 order this month and receive a code good for $5 off an order next month. There is no limit to the number of codes you can earn and redeem! Just be sure to have a valid email address as the codes will be sent there.

Above the Clouds Sneak Peek

Stampin' Up! Above the Clouds, Hot Air Balloon Punch

Stampin’ Up! Above the Clouds, Hot Air Balloon Punch

Hello Stampers!

It’s almost here! In just a little more than 24 hours, we can order anything we want from Stampin’ Up!’s new Annual Catalog. Today, I’m sharing a fun card created with the Above the Clouds Bundle. It features the photopolymer Above the Clouds stamp set and coordinating Hot Air Balloon Punch. I also used some of the brand-new In Colors: Seaside Spray, Purple Posy and Terra Cotta Tile. I punched the balloons from the 6 X 6 Designer Series Paper Stacks. Notice the gingham? I can’t wait to order these versatile papers in all of the colors. The sentiment comes from the Itty Bitty Birthdays stamp set, also available in the upcoming catalog.

Thanks for stopping by today! Check back for another card tomorrow when the catalog goes live.

So Long to Gingham Gala Designer Series Paper

Gingham Gala and Delightful Daisy

Gingham Gala and Delightful Daisy

Hello Stampers!

If i was forced to choose a favorite product from Stampin’ Up!’s Occasions Catalog, I think I would choose the 6 x 6 Gingham Gala Designer Series Paper. This paper pack — featuring Daffodil Delight, Highland Heather, Lemon Lime Twist, Grapefruit Grove, and Balmy Blue — is just perfect for a variety of cards and projects. Here, I used the Daisy Punch to create the daisies from  the Gingham Gala paper.

It’s important to note that this great paper won’t be available after June 3 (or while supplies last). It’s only $11 for 40 sheets of paper.

Other fun elements included on this card include the Rectangle Stitched Framelits Dies, the greeting from Itty Bitty Birthdays, and the Subtles Embossing Folder.

Thanks for stopping by today. Please let me know if you have questions about this card or other projects. Click on the graphics below to be taken directly to my online store where you can purchase the ingredients used to make this birthday card.
