When I purchase a new paper crafting product such as a stamp set and/or bundle, I really try to stretch the set, making sure I make the most of the creative possibilities. It’s fun to experiment with the different elements of the set and des. This week, I played with Stampin’ Up!’s Loveliest Tree Bundle.
Not only do I love the price point of $36 for the bundle, but I appreciate the selection of sentiments it includes. Click here to see a post sharing three other card samples using this bundle, as well as a how-to video. (Just a quick note: Beginning June 5, 2024, all current Stampin’ Up! bundles will be on sale for 10 percent off. Be sure to take advantage of this month-long special.)
Loveliest Tree Thank You Card
This thank you card uses a fun and simple sponging technique to create a background for the tree image. Here are some details about today’s card:
- Crumb Cake card stock base measuring 8 1/2 x 5 1/2, scored and folded at 4 1/4
- Crumb Cake card stock measuring 5 1/4 x 4 die cut with large, rectangular Radiating Stitches Dies
- Basic White card stock panel measuring 4 1/4 x 3
- Die cut circles of different sizes in scrap card stock using Stylish Shapes Dies.
- Use these circles as stencils. Apply ink with small blending brushes in Crumb Cake, Balmy Blue, and Daffodil Delight.
- Stamp tree with Early Espresso ink in the middle on top of circles
- Stamp thank you sentiment with Early Espresso ink
- Include a Linen Thread bow
- Add bling: gold Adhesive-Backed Metallic Gems
Below is another version of the sponged background. Instead of the Radiating Stitches Dies I used a layer of Pool Party card stock measuring 5 1/4 x 4 and a Basic White piece measuring 5 x 3 3/4.
Thanks so much for visiting my blog. I hope you enjoy these card samples and the Loveliest Tree Bundle.
