Thankful for You Card

Thankful for You Card

I was just getting ready to transition from making fall-themed cards to getting ready for the Christmas holiday. But then, I took Stampin’ Up!’s first online class. (Which, by the way is still available. Get more information by clicking here.)

During this class, Stampin’ Up! designers and creators shared not only four handmade greeting cards, but also lots of helpful tips and tricks. One of the cards inspired today’s creation. I loved the layout and some of the tips and tricks, so I created my own version.

This thankful for you card definitely uses an awesome combination of Stampin’ Up! products, including: The Gathering Moments Stamp Set, the Traditional Labels Dies, and the Beautiful Motifs Dies.

Measurements and Details

  • Cajun Craze cardstock base measuring 8 1/2 x 5 1/2, scored and folded at 4 1/4
  • Arranged three stamps from the Gathering Moments Stamp Set on block and stamped the background with Cajun Craze ink. Filled in with other stamps.
  • Gathering Together 12 x 12 Specialty Designer Series Paper: two strips, one measuring 5 1/2 x 3/4 and the other 4 3/4 x 3/4
  • Traditional Labels Die cut with Early Espresso cardstock. See how the die cut edges allow you to slip the strip of DSP through it?
  • Die cuts from Beautiful Motifs Dies cut with Gold Foil and Earthen Toned Metallic 12 x 12 Specialty Paper.
  • Traditional Labels Die cut with Basic Beige cardstock and stamped with sentiment from Gathering Moments Stamp Set.
  • Traditional Sparkling Sequins

Thanksgiving Baby Wipe Technique

Welcome to Team Stamp It’s Blog Hop. Thanks so much for joining us! This month, we feature cards and projects showcasing a Thanksgiving and fall theme. Be sure to to visit all of the participating blogs. Leave a comment on each for your chance to win the Pop-Up Pals Kit.

Thanksgiving Baby Wipe Technique

When I think of Thanksgiving and fall, I think of the gorgeous fall colors as the leaves change. I have vivid memories of this while growing up in North Dakota and living in Minnesota and Nebraska. With today’s card, I try to re-create that with the baby wipe technique. Be sure to watch the video below as I demonstrate how to achieve this fun look.

In addition, I’ll show you how I created the large leaf image that I stamped with. In summary, I used the large maple leaf die cut from Stampin’ Up!’s Gathering Moments Dies to make my own “stamp” with adhesive foam sheets.

Split Die Thanksgiving Card

Split Die Thanksgiving Card

Today’s card has a lot going on! First, it features a new-to-me technique–the split die technique. I was inspired by Heidi Collins (On Y Go Stamping). Second, this technique makes two cards. Third, this card uses strips of my current favorite patterned paper–Gathering Together 12 x 12 Specialty Designer Series Paper. And fourth, it uses a sneak peek of a product available to customers beginning November 4, 2025–Lasting Linen Photopolymer Stamp Set. (It may be hard to see in the photo, but it’s the background behind the maple leaf.)

Details and Measurements

  • Cajun Craze cardstock base measuring 8 1/2 x 5 1/2, scored and folded at 4 1/4
  • Cajun Craze cardstock panel measuring 5 1/4 x 4. Stamped Lasting Linen background in Cajun Craze ink.
  • Basic White cardstock panel measuring 5 1/4 x 4. Glue strips (1/2 inch x 5 1/2 inches) of Gathering Together 12 x 12 DSP onto panel. Trim off excess.
  • Die cut large maple leaf from the Gathering Moments Dies. Keep both pieces.
  • Stamp sentiment in Cajun Craze ink on white label from Textured Notes Dies
  • Linen Thread
  • Cajun Craze & Gold Dots

Here’s the other card created from the pieces.

Gathering Moments Baby Wipe Technique

Gathering Moments Baby Wipe Technique

I can’t let the fall season go by without creating a few cards using the baby wipe technique. Although this technique can be used for any season or occasion, it’s really perfect for fall.

To try this technique, layer a couple of baby wipes on a protected surface such as a glass mat, silicone mat, or wax paper. Using Stampin’ Up!’s ink refills, drop dots of the ink onto the baby wipe. Be sure to cover a surface large enough for your stamps. For today’s cards, I used Cherry Cobbler, Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie, and Garden Green. (In some versions, I’ve substituted Old Olive._ These colors really say “fall.”

Then, use the inked baby wipe as a stamp pad. Place your stamp in the ink and then stamp on a piece of card stock.

Measurements and Details

  • 5 1/4 x 4 Very Vanilla Cardstock stamped with the large leaf from Stampin’ Up!’s Gathering Moments stamp set, using the technique described above.
  • Cut the stamped cardstock to 5 1/4 x 2 1/2. Add to Early Espresso cardstock base measuring 8 1/2 x 5 1/2, scored and folded at 4 1/4.
  • Add a piece of Cherry Cobbler cardstock measuring 5 1/4 x 3/4, embossed with Gathering Leaves Embossing Folder.
  • Stamp the sentiment from Simply Said in Cherry Cobbler ink on Very Vanilla cardstock. Die cut with Textured Notes Dies.
  • Gold Striped 3/8-inch ribbon
  • Adhesive-Backed Metallic Gems

Spooky Sweet Gift Bag

Spooky Sweet Gift Bag

Oh, my gosh, can you just see yourself giving some of these cut treat bags to friends and co-workers and trick-or treaters? These bags easily hold a variety of candy and non-candy treats. I originally created these little bags (inspired by the Plaid Poodle) with Stampin’ Up!’s Gathering Together 12 x 12 Designer Series Paper, one of my current favorites. See that post here.

But I realized, these party favors work well with any of Stampin’ Up!’s patterned papers. So, here’s my bag using the Spooky Sweet 12 x 12 Designer Series Paper.

Details and Measurements

Below, I offer some cutting and scoring directions. Be sure to watch the video to see how this actually comes together.

  • Gathering Together 12 x 12 Specialty Designer Series Paper measuring 6 x 12.
  • Score at 3 3/4, 5 3/4, 9 1/2, and 11 1/2 on the 12-inch side. Score at 1 1/4 on each side of the 6-inch side.
  • See the diagram below for trimming directions. (The x marks the places you cut out the card stock.)
  • Pumpkin Pie circle from Stylish Shapes Dies
  • Die cut bats from the Spooky Halloween Dies, the spider from the Fright Night Dies, and the letters from the Mini Alphabet Dies. Remember to use your adhesive sheets.
