Greetings of the Season Card Sample
Today, I’m playing with the Greetings of the Season Bundle. The sentiments and die cuts are perfect for creating handmade Christmas cards as well as tags and small gifts.
The card itself features the heat embossing technique and the inlaid embossing technique. Be sure to watch the video below to get tips to create this card at home. Here are some measurements and details to help you get started.
Thick Basic White cardstock base measuring 8 1/2 x 5 1/2, scored and folded at 4 1/4
Basic White cardstock panel measuring 5 1/4 x 4
Gold Foil Sheet measuring 5 1/4 x 1 1/2
Technique: I glued the foil to the Basic White cardstock panel and ran the whole piece through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine using the Distressed Tile 3D Embossing Folder.
I die cut images from the Season of Green & Gold 12 x 12 Designer Series Paper and the Golden Greenery Dies. Can I just say this patterned paper is gorgeous. The 12 x 12 sheets feature greenery and many of the sheets shimmer with gold and gold accents.
Heat embossed the sentiment in gold and die cut with Greetings of the Season Dies.
Embellished with gold Adhesive-Backed Sparkle Gems and the Gold 1/8″ trim.
As a demonstrator, I was able to preorder the Online Exclusive products. I’ve been playing with them for a couple of weeks. Stay tuned to this blog to see some of my other creations during Christmas in July.

Light the Sky Celebrate
For today’s hop, I chose to use Stampin’ Up!’s Light the Sky stamp set to create a patriotic card celebrating Independence Day. I know, I know! Who sends cards to celebrate the Fourth of July? I think it’s really fun to make and send cards for all of the holidays. In fact, I bought this stamp set to use specifically for July 4th and New Year’s.
One quick note about this stamp set. You won’t find it in a catalog; it’s part of Stampin’ Up!’s Online Exclusives. It’s definitely for sale. (Take a minute to browse the Online Exclusives by clicking here. There are some really great products not found in catalogs.)

Calling all of my dog lovers! Stampin’ Up! offers some fun products to celebrate our furry friends! I recently hosted an in-person class It was called It’s a Dog’s Life. We made three cards using a variety of products. Today, I’m sharing these cards with you.
One of these great products is the Doggone Friendly background stamp. It features the faces of a variety of dog breeds.
For the card at the top, I paired the Doggone Friendly stamp with a sentiment from Quiet Reflections to create a pet sympathy card. Here are a few quick details about the featured card:
Copper Clay card base measuring 8 1/2 x 5 1/2, scored and folded at 4 1/4
Copper Clay panel measuring 5 1/4 x 4
Two pieces of DSP from Take to the Sky measuring 5 1/4 x 1
Basic White panel measuring 5 1/4 x 2 1/2
Stamped both dogs and sentiment with Copper Clay
To create the card above, I stamped the Doggone Friendly background stamp with Night of Navy ink on white card stock and used the 2 3/8 inch circle punch to capture the dog faces. I layered the circle on a Night of Navy die circle from the Stylish Shapes Dies. The sentiment comes from the Layering Leaves stamp set and is stamped with Melon Mambo. Additional products include the Fun Patterns Embossing Folder, Take to the Sky Designer Series Paper, Glossy Dots Assortment (Melon Mambo), Melon Mambo Stampin’ Blends, and white Baker’s Twine.
Here’s another fun card using some other Stampin’ Up! product including the Country Birdhouse Dies, Pets & More Stamp Set, and By Your Side all-inclusive kit. This card design was inspired by Mary Bush; I just love the idea of using the bird house for a dog house!

There’s no doubt Stampin’ Up! offers the most gorgeous Designer Series Paper in the industry. Not only does Stampin’ Up! give us a wide array of 6 x 6 and 12 x 12 designs, the variety of images and patterns provide so many options for our paper crafting projects. Sometimes, it’s difficult to choose which side of the paper to use.
Today, I’m sharing a card layout that allows you to use both sides. This works especially well for the 6 x 6 scenery paper, including the Meandering Meadows 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper. It’s one of the Online Exclusives. Let me know if I can help you order this beautiful paper.
Take a look at the inside of this card.
