Kinda Eclectic Treats

Hello Stampers!

It’s treat time! I’m having a class Thursday featuring Stampin’ Up!’s Kinda Eclectic stamp set. For each class, I love to create a welcome treat packet; it shows stampers all of the fun possibilities that are available with stamps, ink, and paper!

For these cuties, I:

  • Punched two 1-3/4 scallop circles from Mossy Meadow card stock
  • Stamped the leaf image in Mossy Meadow on one of the scallop circles
  • Adhered a wrapped Pearson mint patty between the two scallops
  • Stamped the butterfly image from Kinda Eclectic in Calypso Coral ink
  • Punched the butterfly with the coordinating Elegant Butterfly Punch
  • Added a Rhinestone to the butterfly
  • Adhered the butterfly to the  top of one scallop circle
  • Packaged two treats into a cello bag
  • Tied the package with Mossy Meadow 3/8 satin stitched ribbon

Quick, cute, and fun!

It’s a Big Deal for the Big Shot

Hello Stampers!

I’m home from Minnesota and am ready to get back into my craft room! One of the items I use the most is the Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine. (Look for it on page 224 of Stampin’ Up!’s 2014-2015 Idea Book and Catalog.) It does so many cool things to make creating fun and easy. It embosses and cuts shapes and images. It’s definitely a must-have in the craft room.

In August, Stampin’ Up! is offering a great deal: Buy a Big Shot and receive a FREE bundled stamp set and framelit (see chart below). If you already have the Big Shot (yay!), receive 15 percent off any of these bundles.

Stamping Fun in Minnesota

Hey Stampers!

I’m visiting my mom in Minnesota, and we couldn’t resist the opportunity to get a bunch of people together and stamp. We hosted 15 ladies from her water aerobics class at my cousin’s restaurant and bar, the Sunlite Bar and Grill in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. We had a great time making two easy cards! I sent them each home with a birthday and a thank-you card.

We had a lot of fun! Thanks for playing along!

Paper Pumpkin Perfect for Make-A-Wish

Hello Stampers!

I was so excited to open the July Paper Pumpkin box and see the materials to make these cards! Each month, a group of women from the Lincoln Woman’s Community Club come to my home, and we create cards to be donated to our local Make-A-Wish chapter. We make birthday and thinking of you cards and cards that can be sent to a child embarking on their wish.

This is a perfect card for that! This is one we’ll be making next week. The kit included a great variety of stamps and embellishments to allow me to create a card that would work well!

Paper Pumpkin is a monthly kit subscription offered by Stampin’ Up! The kits lately have been fabulous and include everything (except adhesive) to create projects and cards. The July kit made six greeting cards and six small treat boxes.

Stampin’ Up! is now offering a special promotion on Paper Pumpkin. The kits normally cost $19.95 per month (and include shipping). For the next two months, you can receive your kit for half price. I’ve seen the upcoming kits, and they are great. Don’t miss out!

Sharing Hubby’s Birthday

Hello Stampers!

Birthdays are fun! But they’re even more fun when your friends are stampers. It’s so great to get handmade cards in the mail. I always love to see what Karen Page, my sideline (in technical Stampin’ Up! terms that means she and I are on the same team and share the same upline) cooks up for a card. I just love her style!

Today, I’m sharing the card she made for my husband’s recent birthday. Karen has used a variety of elements and stamp sets that make this such an eye-catching card. Love it!
