A Successful World Card Making Day

Hello Stampers!

Thanks to everyone who joined me for my World Card Making Day event Saturday, October 4, — including my mother Joanne who is here visiting from Minnesota. Each attendee made a card or two to take home and a card or two to donate to Friendship Home. Thanks to all, we have a nice little stack of cards the volunteer coordinator will be using for the FH’s benefit.

This is one of the cards we created. It’s taken directly from the Stampin’ Success magazine, a publication for the benefit of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators. It uses the note cards and envelopes, Fabulous Four stamp set, the Beach House Washi Tape, and Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. It went together easily, and it’s also fun.

Thanks again! Enjoy!

Tee-Hee-Hee!

Hello Stampers!

I just love this Halloween stamp set from Stampin’ Up! called Tee-Hee-Hee! The sayings and the images are just so cute.

We made this card at last week’s Halloween class. Here’s how it went together:

  • Inked a sponge dauber with Versamark ink and sponged dots all over the Pumpkin Pie card base
  • Embossed a piece of Rich Razzleberry card stock with the Large Polka Dot Embossing Folder and layered on Basic Black
  • Stamped the sentiment with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and stamped the shoes in Rich Razzleberry. Layered onto Basic Black
  • Added a piece of Pumpkin Pie from the Designer Series Paper pack

This is a fun, fun set! It’s available in Photopolymer (#135125) for $15.95. Order this set from me or my online store and I’ll send you the above card free!

Here’s a look at the entire set:

Spooky, Screamy Halloweeny

Hello Stampers!

I’m thinking Halloween! It’s just a little over a month away! This is one of the cards we created during last night’s Halloween card class. It features the Mingle All the Way stamp set from Stampin’ Up!’s Holiday Catalog. (If you don’t have a demonstrator and would love a catalog, just give me a holler!)

What I like about this set is that it includes a number of different holidays. (Scroll down to see the stamps included in this set — your choice of clear or wood mount.)

Here’s how this card goes together:

  • Start with a base of Tangerine Tango
  • Add a piece of Basic Black Card stock
  • Add the Designer Series Paper Motley Monsters
  • Stamp the image in Versamark and heat emboss with Black Embossing Powder
  • Color the “open” letters with Tangerine Tango Stampin’ Write Marker
  • Punch with 2 1/2-inch Circle Punch
  • Layer on a piece of Basic Black Card Stock die cut with the Starburst Framelits
  • Adhere this piece to the card
  • Create ghost using the Owl Builder Punch. Just snip off the feet and you have a ghost!
  • Add the eyes from the Owl Builder Punch. Use the Signo Ball white marker to create the eyes
  • Put Stampin’ Dimensionals on the backs of the ghosts and apply to card

Cute and easy!

Here’s the Mingle All the Way stamp set.
