Cheers! ‘Tis the Season!

Hello Friends!

‘Tis the season for parties and family gatherings. Many of you may bring a bottle of wine or sparkling juice to thank your host and hostess. Why not include a handmade tag to show your appreciation? I just love playing with Stampin’ Up! stamps, paper and ink to create goodies for the holiday season. These tags are so quick and fun to make!

This tag (inspired by April Waltrip) features the Holiday Invitation stamp set against the backdrop of the Trim the Tree Designer Series Paper Stack with Cherry Cobbler and Garden Green ink and card stock. I added a piece of silver ribbon as an accent.

Would you like to gather a group of friends to make some wine bottle tags to accent your hostess gift? I’d love to show you how easy it is to make these. Just email me at: [email protected].

Enjoy!

Giving Thanks!

Hello Stampers!

With two craft shows on the horizon this week, I’ve been creating a lot of fun things with Stampin’ Up!’s great products. And, my heat gun has been going full strength! I’ve been heat embossing everything in sight!

I made these bags to give to the member of Kim’s Paper Krafters (you can join, too!). I started with SU!’s Petite Cafe Gift Bags from the Holiday Catalog. You get ten bags for $5.95. I used an image from the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set and stamped the background in Blackberry Bliss.

The leaves are cut from Blackberry Bliss Card Stock with the Autumn Accent Bigz Die and run through the Big Shot in the Woodgrain embossing folder.

I then brushed Versamark ink along the edges of the leaf and embossed the leaves with Gold Embossing Powder. Love it! The sentiment, stamped in Blackberry Bliss, comes from the Holiday Invitation stamp set in the Holiday Catalog.

I topped the bag off with the lovely Blackberry Bliss Satin Ribbon. (Can you tell I love Blackberry Bliss?)

As I mentioned, I’d love to have you become a part of Kim’s Paper Krafters. It’s easy! Purchase the SU! Starter Kit for $99 and receive $125 in product of your choice shipped to you free. That’s it! No risk. No obligation. Keep ordering to receive your ongoing discount and you can join the fun activities associated with fun people and fun products! See more information under the Join My Team tab or contact me.

Enjoy!

Shaking with Joy

Hello Stampers!

I’ve always admired “shaker cards,” but from afar. I wasn’t sure I could actually make one. But with some directions from videos online and some inspiration from Kimberly Van Diepen, I created this shaker card to share at Kim’s Paper Krafters team meeting.

Here’s how it went together:

  • Die cut the “Joy” word from the Wonderful Wreath Framelits Dies on a piece of 5 1/4 x 4 Whisper White Card Stock
  • Emboss this piece with the Lucky Stars Textured Embossing Folder
  • Turn the piece backward
  • Apply a piece of Stampin’ Up!’s Window Sheets — enough to cover Joy. I applied it with Sticky Strip.
  • Using pieces of the SU!’s Shaker Frames, form a border around the word, being sure to keep the protective layer on the sticky foam
  • Put a generous amount of the Frosted Sequins in the pocket you’ve created
  • Remove the adhesive from the foam and adhere another Window Sheet to the top
  • Afix this piece to a piece of Real Red card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals
  • Embellish with stars punched from the Red Glimmer paper
  • Sit back, admire, and shake!

This was a fun project and my in-town team members en”joy”ed it!

Thanks for stopping by today.
