I had no idea how much fun and how easy it is to make these berry baskets from the Stampin’ Up! Berry Bigz Die. They are perfect for Easter, Mother’s Day, May Day and lots of other gift-giving opportunities. Imagine these cute baskets filled with candy or popcorn or even 3 x 3 gift cards.

Imagine the baskets made with all different colors of card stock, including Designer Series Paper, Kraft paper, coaster board and more. You could include a handle, or not. You could embellish them with butterflies like above. Or you could use ribbon. Or you could include a sentiment. There are so many possibilities!

This video from Stampin’ Up! shows you how easy it is to put these together.

Happy Valentine’s Day!

Picture

Hello Stampers!

Happy Valentine’s Day! I’m celebrating with a little bit of bling … and of, course some chocolate. The main feature of this card is the envelope on the left created with Stampin’ Up!’s Mini Treat Bag Thinlits Dies, found in the new spring Occasions catalog. I cut the bag from the Typeset Specialty Designer Series Paper and accented it with red glimmer paper. Love it!

The little card on the right slips nicely into the treat bag/envelope and the whole package can be placed in an A2 envelope and be mailed. How cool is that?

If you’re from the Lincoln, Nebraska, area, I’d love to teach you some paper crafting techniques.

Have a great day!

Washi Birthday Fun

Picture

Hello Stampers!

Today’s card combines a lot of really fun elements, including Stampin’ Up!’s new Washi sheets. You may have heard of Washi tape — rolls of fun, colorful adhesive tapes that add cool accents to projects. This Washi comes in 6 x 12 sheets. You receive eights sheets — two each of four designs that include the coordinating colors of Basic Gray, Bermuda Bay, Calypso Coral and Crushed Curry. I used circle punches of varying sizes to create the background for this birthday card. I punched the sheet, peeled off the backing, and adhered it to the Whisper White card stock. So fun, so easy and so cute!

The featured stamp is from the Big Day set. Earn it FREE during Sale-A-Bration (now through March 31) with any $50 order (before tax and shipping). I stamped the image with Black Stazon and used the Blender Pens to color the word “cake” with Bermuda Bay ink. I then cut the image with the Banners Dies. You may be wondering how the white piece nests so closely with the Calypso Coral piece. I traced the outside of the banner die onto the Calypso Coral piece and hand cut it. I didn’t want to use the larger banner because it would take away from the fun background I just created with the Washi sheets.

The other fun product used here is the Bow Builder Punch. I punched this using the Best Day Ever Designer Series Paper, also available as a free selection during Sale-A-Bration.

Wow! I think that’s it! I’m sure whomever receives this card in the mail will love it!

Irresistible Valentine

Picture

Hello Stampers!

Cupid comes calling in less than ten days! Have you made your loved ones a card? This card features the Irresistibly Yours Designer Series Paper. There are six designs, including this diagonal stripe selection.

This exclusive Designer Series Paper is free during Sale-A-Bration with a $50 order (before tax and shipping.) I used the Silver Encore Ink and rubbed it with a sponge dauber all over the paper. I then wiped the excess with a paper towel. The ink doesn’t stick to the glossy parts of the paper so you can customize the look you want. Imagine all of the possibilities!
