Make-A-Wish Monday

Picture

Hello Stampers!

The volunteers from the Lincoln Community Women’s Club should be here soon to help make cards to donate to our local Make-A-Wish chapter. This is one of the four cards we’ll be making today. I love, love, love the Butterflies Thinlits Dies. This is just one of three dies included in the set, and this particular die makes a beautiful butterfly. I also love the color coordination of Stampin’ Up! products. The colors in the Retro Fresh Washi Tape include Baked Brown Sugar, Coastal Cabana, So Saffron, and Tangerine Tango. I chose to feature Coastal Cabana and Tangerine Tango.

For Make-A-Wish,I try to create cards without many embellishments that can be easily mailed. This butterfly could be stepped up by adding pearls or rhinestones. There are lots and lots of possibilities, but it does say “spring.”

I’d love to show you how the set works and all the fun things you can create! Shoot me an email or give me a call! Click on any of the links below to order the supplies to make this card.

Enjoy!

It’s the Last Month to Sale-A-Brate

Picture

Hello Stampers!

Yes, it’s true! There is only one month left to Sale-A-Brate! Let me translate. There is only one month left to take advantage of Stampin’ Up!’s Sale-A-Bration promotion. Purchase $50 in product (before tax and shipping) and receive your choice of a free gift. The image and the others from this stamp set — Brighten My Day — is one of the free items. I think the really fun feature of this card is the Crystal Effects I used to make the lightbulb “shine.”

In addition, Stampin’ Up! just released four brand-new items from which to choose. Click here to get a look at the new items. This offer is good through March 31.

I’d love to share these products with you! Contact me to attend a class or schedule a private party.

Enjoy

A Personal Share

Hello Friends!

Here I am, snuggled under a brand-new warm and colorful quilt I was given by a good friend who has a gift for quilting. For those of you familiar with Stampin’ Up!, you might recognize the fabric. A few years ago, SU! Sold the fabric, and creative crafters made wonderful items from the fabric that coordinates with all of our ink, paper, and embellishment colors. When the fabric retired a couple of years ago, I sent a few boxes to a friend who I knew would appreciate it. (I can create handmade greeting cards, but I definitely cannot sew nor quilt.)

But there’s way more to this story than the colorful blocks that reflect what I love about Stampin’ Up! This quilt has been in the works for about a year, created by my friend who is battling non-Hodgkin lymphoma. She’s been through several remissions, many rounds of chemotherapy, and a drug trial or two. But that darned cancer keeps returning and growing. Through it all, she’d venture into her sewing room (when she felt well enough) to work on this project for me. And, I love it!

She faced a deadline when I told her I would be having hip replacement surgery in April. She became determined to finish the project so I could have it while recuperating. And here it is, a very special gift. We are all blessed with our special talents, and I’m grateful she chose to share her talents with me.

Have a wonderful day!
