Wow! It’s supposed to be almost 80 degrees here in Lincoln, Nebraska, today! So this card we made at last week’s class is very appropriate.

It’s been awhile since I used the Berry Basket Bigz Die. Instead of creating a full-blown basket, I used just a piece to create a flower basket for this spring card. Love it!

The flowers (stamped in Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo, and Tempting Turquoise) are from the Crazy About You stamp set, as is the sentiment. (Scroll to the end of the post to see a graphic of this versatile set.) This set is soooo cool, because it contains a lot of separate words you can combine to make your own sentiments. The flowers have a coordinating punch — the Flower Medallion. That’s what makes it so easy to put this card together. I dry embossed the Basic Black cardstock with the Brick Wall Embossing Folder. I added a touch of linen thread and a rhinestone.

Isn’t it so fun to go to your mailbox and find a handstamped card? Especially when it’s your birthday! Shannon West from Stampin’ Up!’s home office is in the midst of a campaign to bring birthdays back ( #imbringingbirthdaysback). She is sending birthday cards to anyone who asks! I will do the same. This card features the Party Wishes stamp featured in Stampin’ Up’s Spring Occasions Catalog. Other products include the Confetti Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and the Party Punch Pack. The colors used here are: Melon Mambo, Crushed Curry, and Bermuda Bay. I used a sponge to apply the ink to the confetti border. Just for fun, I added a Wink of Clear Stella to the balloons to add a little flair!

I love surprising my customers with fun treats and gift bags. This last week, my class featured Stampin’ Up!’s Rose Wonder stamp set and coordinating Rose Garden Thinlits. We had so much fun creating a variety of cards with this beautiful combo.

Here is the gift bag that was waiting for everyone at the beginning of class. (Of course, there’s chocolate inside.) The base is one of the Kraft Tag a Bag Gift Bags. These are a bargain; you get 10 of them for $3.50.

Using the rose template, Crumb Cake ink, and a Stampin’ sponge, I created a silhouette in the right-hand corner of the bag. The tag is created with Basic Black card stock and Botanicals for You vellum (choose this free with a $50 purchase during Sale-A-Bration). The Triple Banner Punch makes it so easy to create banners. I added a rose die cut — cropped with one of the dies in the set  from Gold Foil card stock — and added a ribbon made with the Gold 1/8-inch gold ribbon. I added some Gold Wink of Stella to the clothespin to top it all off!

The women from Lincoln Community Women’s Club were here again helping to make greeting cards to donate to Make-A-Wish. This is one of the four cards we made. It features the Botanicals for You stamp set you can earn free during Stampin’ Up!’s Sale-A-Bration sale with a $50 purchase (before tax and shipping).

I started with a Whisper White card base and lined a design of the Cherry on Top Designer Washi Tape along each side. On a piece of 5 1/2 x 3-in card stock, I stamped the Watercolor Wash image in Pool Party (stamped off once). I then inked the Botanicals for You in Watermelon Wonder on top of the Pool Party. The sentiment is also stamped in Watermelon Wonder and attached with the cute little staples. I’m thinking the Make-A-Wish people are going to love this! I know I do! Think about all of the washi tape and color combinations there are!
