I’m always looking for different ways to use the images and dies in the bundles I buy from Stampin’ Up! The large maple leaf in the Gathering Together Dies remind me of a fun fold I created last year with the Hearts of Elegance Dies (now retired). See that post here.

  • Sentiment from the Gathering Moments Stamp Set stamped with Early Espresso ink, die cut with a label from the Stylish Shapes Dies
  • Gold Striped 3/8-inch Ribbon
  • Adhesive-Backed Metallic Gems

Here’s what the inside of the card looks like. Note: I added a piece of Basic Beige card stock to the back of the Early Espresso base so you can write a message.

My card features Stampin’ Up!’s Everyday Arches Dies, the Spooky Sweet 12 x 12 Designer Series Paper, and the die cut from the Fright Night Dies. Isn’t it super cute?

Measurements and Details

Here are some details to help you get started:

  • Petunia Pop cardstock base measuring 8 1/2 x 5 1/2, scored and folded at 4 1/4
  • Basic Black cardstock panel measuring 5 1/4 x 4
  • Spooky Sweet 12 x 12 Designer Series Paper measuring 5 x 3 3/4
  • Basic Black and Basic White cardstock for the Everyday Arches die cuts
  • Basic Black cardstock for the “Boo” sentiment. I recommend using Adhesive Sheets on the cardstock before die cutting.
  • Petunia Pop 1/4-inch Iridescent Ribbon
  • White Baker’s Twine
  • Neutral Matte Dots (black)
  • Googly Eyes!

Halloween Gate Fold Card

Halloween Gate Fold Card

Halloween lovers take note! Today, I’m sharing a fun Halloween card using a fun fold — the gate fold with a belly band. In addition, I use a fun element called a “wobble.” Be sure to watch the video below to see how this card comes together and how the wobble works.

I combined items from Stampin’ Up!’s Fright Night Bundle and the the Spooky Halloween Bundle. I love all of the fun die cuts and images.

Measurements and Details

  • Basic Black cardstock base measuring 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 scored on each of the long ends at 2 1/8
  • Two pieces of Spooky Sweet 12 x 12 Designer Series Paper measuring 5 1/4 x 1 7/8
  • Stylish Shape circle die cut from Spooky Sweet DSP
  • Haunted House die cut from Basic Black card stock (backed with Daffodil Delight card stock)
  • Bats, spiders, and spider webs die cut from Basic Black card stock (it helps to use adhesive sheets on the back of the card stock).
  • Belly Band created from Basic Black Two-Tone card stock measuring 9 1/2 x 1 1/4
  • Basic White panel measuring 5 1/4 x 4 for the inside
  • Sentiment stamped with Pumpkin Pie ink

  • PAPER – Early Espresso Cardstock (119686), Basic Beige Cardstock (164511), Basic White Cardstock (166780), Gathering Together 12 x 12 Specialty Designer Series Paper (165969)
  • INK – Early Espresso Classic Stampin’ Pad (147114), Versamark (102283)
  • OTHER – Gathering Leaves 3D Embossing Folder (165983), Stylish Shapes Dies (159183), WOW! Metallics Embossing Powder (165678), Heat Tool (129053), Early Espresso & Old Olive Linen Thread Pack (165986), Adhesive Backed Metallic Gems (163780), Stampin’ Seal (152813), Mini Glue Dots (103683), Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430), Multipurpose Liquid Glue (110755), Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine (149653)

Cutting & Scoring:  

  • Early Espresso Cardstock – 8 ½” x 5 ½”, scored and folded at 4 ¼” and 5 ¼ x 4
  • Basic Beige Cardstock – 5 ¼” x 4”, scrap
  • Basic White Cardstock – 6” x 6”
  • Gathering Together 12 x 12 Specialty Designer Series Paper – three 3” x 3” squares of varying designs
  • Linen Thread (Early Espresso) – 8”

Instructions:

  • Run the 5 ¼” x 4” Early Espresso Cardstock through the Gathering Leaves 3D Embossing Folder.
  • Attach to the Early Espresso card base.
  • Die cut the three squares of Gathering Together DSP with the third largest circle from the Stylish Shapes Dies.
  • Attach circles to card front.
  • Ink the More Messages stamp set with Versamark and stamp on the 6 x 6 Basic White Cardstock. Sprinkle gold embossing powder over the sentiments; shake off excess. Heat with Heat Tool.
  • Die cut with coordinating die. Choose any sentiment and attach to card front with Glue Dots.
  • Stamp acorn with Early Espresso ink on Basic Beige scrap. Die cut. Attach to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Tie linen thread in a bow and attach to acorn with a Glue Dot.
  • Add three gems from the Adhesive Backed Metallic Gems. (I used copper.)
  • Place remaining Basic Beige panel in the middle of the card.
