Thoughtful Journey Fun Fold

Thoughtful Journey Fun Fold

Stampin’ Up!’s Designer Series Paper sales continues through August 31, 2024. Receive 15 percent off fourteen of the patterned papers. In today’s post, I use one of the sale papers — the 6 x 6 Thoughtful Journey. This 48-sheet package offers dreamy, ethereal water colored designs. Use the natural, free-flowing flower and field scenes as stunning focal points or turn the more abstract designs into gorgeous layers.

Beach Day Enjoy Today

Welcome to the Stampers Dozen August Blog Hop! Thanks for joining us in August! This month, we feature cards and projects centering on the theme “Hot Summer Nights.” Be sure to visit all of the blogs on the hop (see the list at the end of this post) to see how each stamper interpreted this assignment.

Summer brings back many memories for me, including enjoying Minnesota lakes for many seasons. Now that we live in Arizona, the scenery has changed a little. I find myself enjoying palm trees and gorgeous sunsets.

Beach Days Enjoy Today

This gave me the perfect opportunity to use Stampin’ Up!’s Beach Day stamp set and coordinating Beach Day Dies. So much fun building a little scene with some of the images.

Can you believe the stamp set has never seen ink? I’m glad I got these out and used them for today’s card. Here are a few details to help you create this card at home:

  • Night of Navy card stock base measuring 11 x 4 1/4, scored and folded at 5 1/2
  • Basic Black card stock panel measuring 5 3/8 x 3 4 1/8
  • White card stock 5 1/4 x 4. I applied Pool Party ink with a blending brush to the whole piece and then applied Night of Navy ink, giving it an ombre or graduated look. I then embossed this panel with the So Swirly Embossing Folder.
  • Basic Back card stock panel measuring 4 3/8 x 3 1/8
  • Basic White panel measuring 4 1/4 x 3 (2)
  • Punched a 2 3/8 circle in one of the above panels and placed it on top of the other. I first applied Crushed Curry ink with a blending brush and then Pumpkin Pie.
  • Palm tree created with Pecan Pie and Old Olive glimmer paper.
  • A scrap of Crumb Cake for the sand
  • Added Linen Thread and Night of Navy gems from the Opal Rounds Assortment.

I hope you’ve enjoyed my card. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Pocket Thoughts Dies for Christmas

Pocket Thoughts Dies for Christmas

Hello, stampers! This is my last post celebrating Christmas in July. I’m kind of sad! I’ve been having so much fun with Stampin’ Up!’s Greetings of the Season Bundle and the gorgeous Season of Green & Gold 12 x 12 Specialty Designer Series Paper. Seriously, this paper is amazing with its gold foil sheets and gold accents. And, the stamp set offers a mix-and-match approach, where you can “build” exactly what you want to say.

Find these new offerings on my online store by clicking here

Greetings of the Season Bundle

Season of Green Gold patterned paper

Today, I add Stampin’ U!’s Pocket Thoughts Dies to the mix. This three-die set allows you to add pockets on your card — on front or in the middle — to hold gift cards or tags with messages.

I created two separate cards using the patterned paper, but experimented with Night of Navy and Gold Foil. Which is your favorite?
