Bridal Shower Fun!

Bridal Shower Fun!

In the top photo, I used leftovers from a Paper Pumpkin kit to create the receptacle for the recipes the guests brought for the bride. On the right, the Tag Topper Punch and the In Colors Paper Stack worked well to make the welcome treats. At the bottom, I was able to use MDS to create custom inserts for the guest book. Hello  Stampers!I love Stampin' Up! for many, many reasons! The products offered make it so easy to coordinate a fun and festive event. A friend and I recently hosted a bridal shower for another friend's daughter. Of course, I volunteered to make the invitations and be in charge of a few of the "papery" details. Luckily, the...

Kinda Eclectic Meets Weekly Deals

Hello Stampers! This is a card we made at one of my recent classes, and it's also a card we created at Stampin' Up's annual convention -- Inspire. Create. Share. What's really cool about today's card is that two of the items are featured on this week's Stampin' Up!'s Weekly Deals. Both the Elegant Butterfly Punch and the Honeycomb Embossing Folder. Find the side with the raised images Rub a Crumb Cake (or color of your choice) Classic Stampin' Pad...

Hello Stampers!Loving Stampin' Up!'s new Blendabilities markers! During my class last night, we experimented using these alcohol-ink markers in several ways. We created this card by coloring the flower from Beautiful Bunch (this one is Melon Mamba). We colored on rhinestones and pearls. We made our own baubles with Crystal Effects, Dazzling Diamonds, and Blendabilities. We created designs on muslin bags. And, we made coasters. There are many great ways to use these markers. Here are some tips to keep in mind: The markers come in sets of three for $11.95: Dark, medium, and light. Twelve colors are available as well as a Skin Tone Assortment...

Kinda Eclectic Journal

Kinda Eclectic Journal

Hello Stampers!Love these Stampin' Up! Kraft Grid Journals! At Thursday's class, featuring the Kinda Eclectic stamp set, we modified one of these journals. This was actually one of the Make-and-Take projects from convention, and I just had to share this with my fellow stampers. Wouldn't this make a great gift? The sentiment was stamped with Blackberry Bliss, the dots in Mossy Meadow, and the butterfly in Tangelo Twist. A few rhinestone jewels add a little bling, and a bit of White Baker's Twine keeps the journal closed. The Kraft Grid Journals can be found on page 200 of the 2014-2015 Idea Book and Catalog (Item #135718). You get two of them...
