A few years ago, I looked around my craft room and thought: I have so much stuff. How can I share this? I began looking at different options, thinking of worthwhile organizations that may have a need for handmade cards. I contacted our local Make-A-Wish chapter in Lincoln, Nebraska, and they were happy to let me make cards they could send to their current and former wish kids for birthdays, in celebration of their wish trip, and for thank yous, thinking of you and get well.
I estimate that with the help of the Lincoln Community Women’s Club and my wonderful friends and customers, we’ve created and donated almost 1,500 greeting cards. That’s a lot of rubber stamps, ink, and paper.
It’s just so awesome to use Stampin’ Up!’s coordinating products to create something beautiful for the benefit of others. It always reminds me of Stampin’ Up’s Statement of the Heart:
To love what we do
And share what we love
As we help others enjoy
Creativity and worthwhile accomplishments.
In this we make a difference.
May you also love what you do!
