Stampin’ Up!’s Spring Occasions catalog is chock full of really fun products, including the Butterfly Basics stamp set and coordinating framelits. (This set has been so popular, and it will be back in stock the middle of next week.)
I stamped a background of ferns using Old Olive ink . On top of that, I stamped the flower image with Black StazOn. Then, using the Cherry Cobbler and Old Olive ink pads, I colored the image with Blender Pens. How do you do that? Gently squeeze your ink pad lids together, transferring ink from the pad onto the inside lid. Open the stamp pad, and using your Blender Pen “pick up” some ink from the lid and color the image. You can make your image as dark or a light as you like. Just beautiful!
The birthday sentiment is stamped on vellum with Black StazOn. The butterfly is stamped in Old Olive and cropped with the Butterfly Framelits Dies. Top off the card with some pearls! The result is lovely and is just in time for my mom’s birthday next week.
Check the list below for the products used to create this card.
