Hello Stampers!

The photo above shows my first set of rubber stamps and my first stamping project. Sadly, I hadn’t yet been introduced to Stampin’ Up!

When my hubby and I were planning our wedding, we decided to serve my family’s famous spaghetti and meatball dinner at our reception. Instead of the little cocktail napkins (monogrammed with the couple’s names), we decided every guest needed a bib. After all, who wants to spill spaghetti sauce on their dress clothes? And, we wanted to customize each bib. What a process that would be!

We had the stamps made by Fargo Rubber Stamps. I asked for a quick-drying ink because we would making more than 200 bibs. I just wish I would have known about Stazon 29 years ago. We recruited my sister, my mom, her sister, and my grandma, and we began stamping, soon realizing the ink wasn’t drying nearly as quickly as we had hoped!

Out came the hair dryer, which helped a little. Soon, we had bibs drying all over the house, draped over the couch, chairs, floor, and even the dog! It was a crazy project, but one we we’ll always remember.

Enjoy your day.

Kim
