Eyelet Blooms Die Card Sample

Eyelet Blooms Die Card Sample

Yay! My Stampin’ Up! box arrived containing the April Product of the Month: the Eyelet Blooms Die. This die, measuring 6 x 4 3/8, gives your card fronts and crafts a dainty touch, a hand-stitched look.

Stampin' Up! Eyelet Blooms Die

What is the Product of the Month? It’s an exclusive product released by Stampin’ Up! available while supplies last. One per customer. When your online shopping cart total reaches $75 (before tax, shipping, and any redeemed rewards), you can purchase this die for just $5.

Here’s a picture of what the die looks like when it’s used as a die cut. Notice the dainty flowers?

However, I decided to use this die in a different way for today’s card. I used it as an embossing folder. Be sure to watch the video below to see the steps to take to use it as an embossed element. It’s really fun! And, using Stampin’ Up!’s two-tone cardstock gives it even more texture. The possibilities are many!

  • Secret Sea Two-Tone Cardstock base measuring 5 1/4 x 4

Lovely Arrangements Hello Friend

Lovely Arrangements Hello Friend

Today, I’m sharing one of the cards we made during my monthly in-person classes in Mesa, Arizona, with Stampin’ Up!’s Lovely Arrangements Bundle. I shared a quick sponging technique using one of the die cuts. Do you see the one below with the pattern?

I cut a piece of Thick Basic White Cardstock to 2 3/4 x 3 1/4 and die cut with the patterned piece. I then placed the cardstock on my card base and sponged on Secret Sea ink with a sponge dauber. Basically, I made a stencil, and it creates a really fun background.

Lovely Arrangements Bundle

Measurements and Details

  • Crumb Cake cardstock base measuring 8 1/2 x 5 1/2, scored and folded at 4 1/4
  • Sponge the background using the above directions using the stencil. I applied the ink in the upper left corner and bottom right.
  • Secret Sea cardstock measuring 3 1/2 x 2 1/2, die cut with the multi-circle die cut shape
  • Flowers stamped in Secret Sea and die cut with coordinating dies
  • Sentiment stamped in Secret Sea and die cut with coordinating die
  • Secret Sea 3/8-inch Bordered Open Weave Ribbon
  • Moody Palette Glossy Dots

I do love this bundle for its variety of sentiments and its unique die cuts. Check out another card here.

I hope you enjoyed today’s card. Please let me know if you have questions about this DIY project or any others.

Thanks,
