Hello Stampers!

Welcome to this month’s Team Stamp It Blog Hop. We’ll be showcasing products that can be purchased from the new Holiday Catalog beginning September 1. The catalog is chock full of really fun things for Halloween, fall, Thanksgiving, and Christmas! Whether you’ve just come from Elizabeth Jeanne Thatcher’s blog, or you’ve started from the beginning, enjoy all of the wonderful team creations.

Today, I’m featuring the Howl-o-ween Treat stamp set and matching Boo to You Framelits Dies. When the catalog goes live September 1, buy this as a bundle and save. (The Wood Mount bundle sells for $45.00 and the Clear Mount bundle will be available for $38.25.)

What I love most about this card, is the Spider Web Doilies. You’ll get 24 of these black doilies for $4.50.

I should also call your attention to the card’s background. To create this unique look, I used the Color Me Irresistible Specialty Designer Series Paper. I started about one-third of the way down the sheet (5 1/4 x 4) and sponged Daffodil Delight ink onto the paper, adding color to make it as bright as I wanted. I then gave it a quick swipe to remove the excess ink. I then sponged the Tangelo Twist ink to the bottom of the sheet and removed the excess with a paper towel. It’s a really cool candy corn design.

Now it’s time to continue to the next blog.Siara Acdal has something special in store for you.

My Minnesota Cards

Picture

Hello Stampers!

These are the cards we made last Friday while I was in Minnesota stamping with my mom and her friends. I wanted something easy, quick, and fun. I think I was successful! (They even stamped their envelopes.)

The top card features Stampin’ Up!’s  You’ve Got This set with the color of Watermelon Wonder. The second card uses the Definitely Dahlia set and the hostess offering Happy Birthday, Everyone.

This was our fourth stamping at the lake event, and it’s always fun to meet the women my mom spends time with. (My mom’s twin sister also attended. At first, she wouldn’t make the cards until I twisted her arm! She did a great job!)

Enjoy!

Stamping Fun in Minnesota

Hello Stampers!

For the fourth year, I’ve held a free (and fun) stamping party for my mom’s friends. This year, we had 12 ladies join us for this event. We made two quick and cute card that I’ll share in a couple of days. Thanks to the Sunlite Bar and Grill in Detroit Lakes for letting us hold our event there. (My cousin and his wife own this place that serves the best burgers around.)

Celebrating Hubby’s Birthday

Picture

Hi Stampers!

While we were in Salt Lake City for Stampin’ Up!’s Inspire. Create. Share., my husband celebrated his birthday. He was along on this trip because we decided to drive to Salt Lake City from Nebraska. We took the long way around, starting in Rapid City, South Dakota, for a family wedding and working our way to Salt Lake. My husband Pat lived in Salt Lake almost 30 years ago, so he had fun driving around to see if he could recognize anything. (He also enjoyed visiting some of Utah’s breweries!) His birthday was July 24, Utah’s Pioneer Days celebration. We joked that they held a parade in his honor!

This is the card my friend and Stampin’ Up! buddy Karen made to recognize Pat’s special day. She used a piece from the Tag a Bag kit and a sentiment from one of the Sale-A-Bration stamp sets. I just love how all of the elements came together. Visit Karen’s blog here.

Below is the card I quickly put together before we left home. A baseball lover–he favors the Yankees, while I cheer for the Minnesota Twins-I thought this card would be very appropriate!
