Hello Stampers!I admit I’ve shied away from creating shaker cards; I thought they were just too much work. But, with the right products provided by Stampin’ Up!, they are really fun.
The Layering Circles Framelits, the Window Sheets, the Foam strips, and the Sequin embellishments make creating shaker cards a breeze. All of the products used to create this card can be found in Stampin’ Up!’s Annual Catalog. (The Holiday Catalog makes its debut Thursday, September 1.)
Let’s see if I can simplify the process.
1. I die cut a circle with the Layering Circles Framelit from a piece of Crumb Cake Card Stock cut at 5 1/4 inches by 4 inches.
2. I then put that sheet through the Big Shot using the Sparkle Embossing Folder.
3. On the back side, I affixed a Window Sheet over the opening (I recommend Fast Fuse or Tear and Tape.)
4. i used one of the Foam Strips and created a circle just a tad larger than the opening.
5. I ran my Embossing Buddy on the Window Sheet and the inside edges of the Foam Strip to prevent the sequins from sticking to the edges.
6. I added a pinch of sequins into the well.
7. I removed the adhesive and placed my Whisper White card stock (that’s been stamped with the snowflake image) on top.
8. Voila! Shaker created.
Very simple and very fun! Give it a try! Send me an email or comment if you have questions. All of the products used to create this card can be purchased 24/7 from myonline store.
Enjoy!

Hello Stampers! One of the really fun aspects of creating and stamping is sharing creations and ideas with others. At our recent team meeting of Kim’s Paper Krafters, we held a team swap for those who wanted to participate. I’m sharing four of the cards today and will share the others in a couple of days.

Hello Stampers! One of my favorite aspects of Stampin’ Up! products is that they can be used to make a variety of fun and fresh projects. Here, I pulled together a combination of products to create gifts for my team members.
I started with a small notebook I found at Target (three little notebooks for $1). I covered them with different designs from the Floral Boutique Designer Series Paper. I trimmed the notebook edge with a strip of the coordinating Floral Boutique Washi Tape. I used the Layered Letters Alphabet to create a monogram for each of my team members and affixed it to the front of the notebook.
I then packaged it with coordinating Stampin’ Up! products. I cut a 6 x 6 matching piece of DSP and guided it into the 6 x 8 cellophane bags. I created a tag using the Perfectly Wrapped stamp set — embossing the sentiment in gold. A Gold Binder Clip holds the tag and Gold Sequins add a touch of elegance. Inside, I included a Project Life Journaling Pen.
These small fun gifts are just a small perk of being a part of my team, Kim’s Paper Krafters. Interested? The Starter Kit is only $99 and you get to choose $125 worth of product — and it’s all shipped free. After you receive your kit, you begin receiving a minimum 20 percent discount on your purchases. You’re not required to host parties or workshops, but you will find it’s really fun to share this with others. I’d love to have you join me.
