Share What You Love

Hello Stampers!

“To love what we do and share what we love as we help others enjoy creativity and worthwhile accomplishments … in this we make a difference.”

This is Stampin’ Up!’s Statement of the Heart, and it is truly inspiring. As a demonstrator, I get to share what I love with others in a number of ways: from sending handmade greeting cards and gifts to teaching classes and sharing with my team, Kim’s Paper Krafters.

Each month, our local team members gather for an evening or afternoon of fun. We catch up on Stampin’ Up! news, create a project, and just enjoy each other’s company. I broadcast a Facebook Live for those team members who live out of town. We have a private Facebook page where we have crafting challenges, celebrate birthdays and anniversaries, and share card samples.

Would you like to be a part of this great group of women? Until July 31, Stampin’ Up! is offering a great deal on its Starter Kit. Receive $125 worth of ANY product for just $99 plus tax. It’s all shipped free. And, receive a set of free ink pads (a $75 value). Choose from the Regals, Neutrals, Subtles, Brights, and a special combination of the In Colors.

Celebrating Hubby’s 60th

Picture

Hello Stampers!

Today my hubby is celebrating his 60th birthday on Stampin’ Up!’s incentive trip to Alaska. It’s been an awesome time with new friends, great scenery and excursions, delicious meals, and Stampin’ Up! gifts and prizes.

I tried to make a card that reflected my husband’s love for baseball with this shaker. For a long time, I’ve been saving those little silica packets that come with shoes and purses. It was time to use them.

I placed the granules in two small, separate containers. I squirted a drop or two of Blueberry Bushel reinker into one and Lovely Lipstick into the other. I waited until they dried and use them as the elements of the shaker card. The 2018-2020 In Color Designer Series 6 x 6 Card Pack came in handy for the rest of the card, as well as the sentiment from Itty Bitty Greetings.

(I did have to use the retired numbers and the little star punch for this card.)

Christmas in July!

Picture

Hello Stampers!

I recently held a Christmas in July event, creating holiday and Christmas-themed cards using sets currently available in Stampin’ Up!’s Annual Catalog. This lets you get a head start on creating your handmade holiday cards.

This is one of the cards we created using the Seasonal Wreath Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. It makes an awesome, deep impression on your card stock. For this card, I embossed the image on Crumb Cake card stock and sponged Old Olive ink onto the wreath with sponge daubers. The sentiment is from the Star of Light stamp set and the bow comes from the Pretty Pines Thinlits Dies.

Little Elephant Says Thank You

Picture

Hello Stampers!

Stampin’ Up!s punches make is super easy and fun to create a variety of cards. The Little Elephant Stamp Set offers some great greetings: Hello, Little One; A Little Kindness is a Big Thing; Celebrate Your Big Day!; Congratulations!; I’ll Forget-You-Not; To My Friend; and Thank You.

The coordinating Elephant Builder Punch cut out images quickly to help you make that special card for almost any event.

For this card, I used the colors of Berry Burst, Granny Apple Green and Smoky Slate. Don’t you just love the texture on the Smoky Slate background piece? I created that using the Subtle Embossing Folder. It’s “subtle” but adds a lot to a plain piece of card stock.

These thank-you cards went in the mail to my Paper Pumpkin subscribers this month.
