It’s a Wicked Halloween

Stampin' Up! Wonderfully Wicked/Wicked Dies

Stampin’ Up! Wonderfully Wicked/Wicked Dies

Hello Stampers!

I have a super fun card to share with you today. It’s created by Angela Schmit, and she got her inspiration from a video by Robyn Cardon.

Can you guess how the background is created? With rubber cement; the kind you get from the office supply store.

Start by drizzling the rubber cement onto a blank piece of Whisper White card stock. The size of this piece is 5 x 3 ¾.  Let the rubber cement dry thoroughly. I left mine overnight just to be sure. You’ll get a different design each time, depending on where you drizzle the rubber cement and how much you drizzle.

Then, using Stampin’ Up!’s Sponge Brayers, apply ink on top of the dried rubber cement. This card uses Granny Apple Green, Gorgeous Grape, and Mango Melody. It doesn’t matter if the colors overlap a little bit.

Use a paper towel to rub the rubber cement off of the card stock. You’ll remove little “boogers” or pieces of rubber cement. Continue until all of the cement is removed. I suppose you could call this an emboss-resist technique; the white card stock shows where the rubber cement was.

You can then stamp and embellish the background any way you wish. Angela used the die cut from the Wicked Dies and stamped images from Wonderfully Wicked. It’s then layered on Basic Black card stock cut at 5 ¼ x 4 inches and layered on a Whisper White card base.

Thanks for stopping by today. Please let me know if you have any questions about the creation of this card!

Boo to You!

Stampin' Up! Boo to You

Stampin’ Up! Boo to You

Hello Stampers!

In just a little more than three weeks, the trick or treaters will be wearing their costumes, looking cute, and having fun! Halloween is a festive fall tradition for all. We’re celebrating a bit today with Stampin’ Up!’s Boo to You stamp set with this card created by Niki Green.

She stamped the image with Memento Ink on a rectangle cut with the Stitched Rectangles. She colored the monster with Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends. It’s layered on black card stock and then on a fun piece from the Monster Bash Designer Series Paper.

It’s a quick, easy card for any and all Halloween lovers!

I appreciate you stopping by today! Let me know if you have questions!

Stampin' Up! Harvest Hellos

Stampin’ Up! Harvest Hellos

The Holiday Catalog is filled with brand-new products for fall crafting projects. I selected the Harvest Hellos stamp set because I really like the coordinating punch (Apple Builder Punch) that can be used either for an apple or a pumpkin, making it a versatile choice.

This card starts with an Early Espresso base, followed by a layer of Old Olive, and topped with a piece of Terracotta Tile Designer Series Paper from the 6 x 6 In Color paper stack. I stamped the pumpkin with Black Memento Ink and punched it out. I also stamped the leave and stem with black ink and punched those out, too. The cute little saying from the set is stamped in Old Olive, and it’s all wrapped together with a piece of Linen Thread.

Look for a list of all of the products I used at the very end of this post. Please contact me if you have any questions. I’d love to help.

Congratulations to Gail Tucker for winning the August card kit.

Easy Note Pad

Picture

Picture

Hello Stampers!

When I find a 3D item or treat packet I really like, I kind of go crazy making them. That’s how it is with today’s project, a mini sticky note pad holder. They are so cute and easy to make and decorate.

I started making the pads featuring the All My Love Designer Series Paper from Stampin’ Up!’s new Occasions Catalog. I just love the Lovely Lipstick Foil that created the heart on the front. The other design is also created with Designer Series Paper from the Occasions Catalog, How Sweet It Is. The colors in the paper lend themselves well to festive treat packets. You can get 12 treats from just one sheet of 12 x 12 paper.

The Designer Series Paper is cut at 2 inches x 6 inches. Score at: ¾, 2, 2 ¼, 3 ¾, 4 and 5 inches.

Fold each end over and adhere. Place a sticky note pad in the center. I put some extra adhesive to make sure the pad isn’t going anywhere. I found some Velcro circles at my local Walmart store. Then I decorated to my heart’s desire!

Remember: Sale-A-Bration is ongoing. For every $50 and $100 in purchases before tax and shipping, receive your choice of an item from the Sale-A-Bration brochure. Choices include exclusive stamp sets, Designer Series Paper, Foil Paper and more. New items will be released February 15.

Thanks for stopping by today. Please let me know if you have any questions about today’ s project.
