Hello Stampers!

As 2018 begins, we’ll need a new calendar to keep track of time. I created a variety of desk top calendars with note pads to give as gifts this holiday season. The one pictured here is for my husband who is an avid bike rider. Stampin’ Up!’s Bike Ride set and coordinating Build a Bike Framelits made this a fun project.

The calendars are so easy to make.

Start with a base measuring 4 ¼ by 11 inches. I used Stampin’ Up!’s Thick Whisper White card stock. Score this piece at 2 ¾ inches and 5 ½ inches.

Other pieces of card stock you’ll need include: 2 each of a solid card stock cut at 5 ¼ x 4 inches. 2 each of a coordinating Designer Series Paper cut at 5 x 3 ¾ inches. You’ll need one piece cut at 3 ½ x 3 ½ inches and one at 3 ½ x 2 ¾. These could be the same color as your solid pieces.

Adhere one piece of the solid card stock to the base – the scored part that measures 5 ½ x 4 ¼. Add the DSP on top of that. Near the bottom of that piece, adhere the 3 ¼ x 3 ¼ square. That’s where you’ll put your note pad.

Fold the white card stock base toward you, on top of the piece you just decorated. Put adhesive on the bottom scored piece. Adhere the solid card stock piece to the bottom and add the DSP. At the bottom of this piece, add the last rectangle. This is where you will adhere the calendar.

Now, it’s just a matter of folding the pieces to shape it into a calendar. You are now ready to decorate the front piece any way you like.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Happy new year!

Kim
